Crap! We lost the Thom and Ted threads, which were great, but somehow got pruned - so I'm starting them again.

First off - the other night I finally saw the new Thom Pier 1 ad! SO cute, but I don't know who the chick with him was.

My only question - it looked like in one of the scenes that behind him was some of that fake stained glass, which I know he doesn't like. I wonder if that's what it was and how he sucked it up. Plus, Pier 1 furniture (the stuffed kind) is cheaply made - I know from experience. I wonder if that bothers him.

In any case, if you love the guy who loves brown-blue-red-gray combos like I do, post away! [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

I love a man who can find equally groovy home furnishings in Jersey, Brooklyn, Fifth Avenue, Manhattan, Staten Island, Conneticut and all the funky little hamlets inbetween!

He's restored my faith in 70's leather recliner, bizarrely shaped ottomons (Or 'pouffes' as I like to call them...) stripey wallpaper, and clean bedlinens.

I also like how he cuts doorways into solid wall if and when he feels the need. Way to take charge Thom!

P.S I hate with a loathing passion his orange and green tartan suit. It must die. But not with Thom in it.

Apparently there are two different Pier 1 commercials, but I've only seen one so far. Gah.

I love that he gets to say his trademark "punkin" in the commercial. Hee hee.

I havent seen the ad, but I love Thom's 'punkin'! Hmmm, that sounded kinda rude. *shrugs* He seems quite paternal sometimes, I think Thom would make a great dad......Are you listening, George Bush?

I like that, too - the fact that he can rearrange the layout of the place if he feels it's needed. That's just cool.

I haven't seen the suit, though - is that in the second commercial? Or was I just not paying attention to what he was wearing in the one I did see...

He's worn the hideous orange concoction a couple times on the show already, mainly at the end when the guys are watching 'straight-cam' from the apartment.

As Thom himslef would say, IT'S HORRRRRRRRRIBLE!

Shrr babe I just remembered he wore it on the Christmas Special, so if you have a chance, go back and watch it, and then tell me how much you don't mind it!

Having a red couch is not brave! Having no couch at all asking guests to sit on milk crates, now that's brave!

I finally saw the Pier 1 commercial. Well only one of them. I loved it! I was starting to wonder when the commercial was going to come out and then one day flipping the channels and noticed Thom I literally screamed [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

I know - I saw it to.

And actually, I kind of like milk crate furniture. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]
Besides, if Thom did something with it, I'm sure it would look fabulous!
