One of my favorite pics of James, Sarah!
BTW: I watched "Guernica" yesterday. I'm generally not a fan of war movies, and although this film had an interesting background, it also had a few flaws. Especially the cutting with abrupt scene switches as well as awful dialects - at least in the English version. I always hate it when filmmakers have non-native speakers pretend to be of a certain nationality and then their language skills are rotten (e.g. some guy was supposed to be a German soldier. His "German" was so bad I couldn't understand a word and had to replay the scene...  ). Why not have a native speaker at least dub that role if you don't want a native speaker to play the role? Awful! I usually prefer to watch a movie in English but this was unbearable so I watched the German language version which was much better - for a change.But the story wasn't too bad, although I think it might have been put on screen in a better way, although I guess much of my criticism is based on the cutting. James performance was really good, though - what else would you expect? __________________

Some movies just don't do accents justice and it's a real shame  but glad (but not surprised) that James did well in the role, regardless.  __________________

I always put on the closed caption when I watch a movie, for the reason if I can't understand a person's accent.

It's a movie about the air attack on the small Spanish village Gernika by the German Air Force in 1937. There was a civil war going on in Spain and Dictator Franco asked his "buddy" Hitler to help him showing the population how much power he (Franco) had by attacking innocent civilians. James plays an American journalist who wants to report about the goings on. ~~~~~~ New pics:  __________________
