Archie Comics = very American. I would be shocked if Chad hasn't either picked up a copy in the past, is an avid reader, OR he's at least heard about it via others. It's just something people either read or know about in this country. Especially when there was a hugely popular song based on the Archie Comics...

This song was SO popular and it was connected to the Archie Comics... The Archies, with the main characters. Remember in the Riverdale Pilot this song was featured? It's a classic and connected to the comics.

The question actually is... does Chad like Betty/Archie or Archie/Veronica in the comics romantically.

I am loving Chad on Riverdale. Everything I had heard from the characters on Riverdale about Edgar Evernever I didn't want to like him but Chad is so damn charming I can't help it
