It was terrible, they should have ended it with the shooting. Not a great end point but better than the disaster that came after it.

That doesn't surprise me, considering the way they handled other departures too from the sounds of it.

They said it was her choice to leave, but it came months after she had said she was there long term and would be happy to take over as the Grey of Grey's Anatomy should Ellen want to leave, and she outright refused to comment on it until there was an extreme amount of backlash to her exit, at which point her team essentially re-released the network's statement. She still never says much about it, seems clear to me that she was probably axed to cut costs so they could pay the originals ridiculous amounts. I was so glad I had stopped watching because she and another non original (who has now also left) were pretty much my sole reason for struggling through half of that seventh season.

I'm amazed they thought anyone would believe them. Getting her team to essentially re-release their press release weeks after the fact doesn't support anything it says, especially considering Chyler refused to answer any questions about it at the time, it was pretty obvious she wasn't happy about it.

From what I heard, Shonda, who's behind GA, is in general a person who's hard to work with. Chyler's not the only one who had messy exit.

Who's that other non original? I've heard that actresses who played Arizona and April left the show so I'm guessing one of them?

Imo it was a mistake to get rid of April, she's always different than other women on that show, not as... "free-spirited" I would say, like basically all of them other characters. Or at least tried not to be, which was interesting to me.

Yeah, I've heard that too.

My friend still watches the show and they said April's exit was pretty insulting for fans of her character. Arizona's was a lot better too from what I got told.

I heard that too, and it doesn't surprise me, tbh, I've always felt there was something off about her. Not the appalling level of Schwahn/Kreisberg off, but off all the same.

Arizona. I loved her but she and Lexie weren't worth sticking around for. Never really cared much for April at all.
