Prob my favourite Leyton moment. They always had this connection since the pilot. In the famous Nathan Lucas one on one that set the tone for the series. Since then it was the nucleus of all the characters relationships. While Obstacles got In the way. Like Brooke. I genuinely believed he loved her at one point of time. But it seemed obvious end of s3. They just were not compatible. They both realised that in 4x07. The school shooting, with Derick. Bonded Leyton. While Lucas seemed in denial for a long time. Felt at times Brooke got stuck in the middle of their almost Romeo and Juliet melodrama. I think they all knew. In that moment Lucas had a realisation. It was always her.

That’s one of my favorite moments for them. The moment it finally hit him that it was her all along. I love how they flash backed toe the pilot too.
