There was never anything shippable there, tbh, there was no depth/substance. Saw that even when I didn't ship LP. I didn't start liking LP when I stopped trying to force myself to like BL though, it was a few seasons.

The people that told me to watch the show insisted that I'd love them. Makes me wonder how little they know about me that they would think I would like a couple without depth/substance. I've never been able to do that.

I really liked that Lucas was there for Peyton throughout all the Ellie stuff in early s3. That really helped them reestablish their bond and it showed that Lucas still cared deeply about Peyton, despite the distance in s2.

but it could be so simple.
