Possibly. I think I prefer that it was her, though. It was more telling, imo, considering he was with someone else but overlooked that to run in and find her.

They would have all benefited from no triangle mess dragging them down, at that point especially.

The writers could have really developed all 3 characters a lot more, which is something that they all lacked big time in the HS years.

Will be interested to see that.

What storylines would you have wanted to see with Lucas and Peyton in seasons 2 and 3 instead of what we got?

A slow rebuilding of their friendship in season 2, then maybe getting into a relationship in the last episode of season 2 or early season 3.

I would have slowly built up their friendship over the second half of S2, since them having some time part in the first half of the season wasn't the worst idea in the world imo. The first half of season 3 could have been about developing their relationship to an point where they get together in mid to late season 3.
