I loved that Brooke came back in season 5 because of Peyton. It was great to see her being there for her best friend and trying everything to make her feel better.

Exactly. ..and no matter what happened they were still friends. They supported each other in so many ways. I also loved the way Brooke was there for Peyton when Lindsey was together with Lucas. I remember the scene when Peyton was sitting on the couch and she cried about Lucas. Brooke was the one who was there for her and hugged her.

Yeah I think the experience with the freak Derek made their relationship stronger.
