I didn't really either, but at the same time I don't think they anything planned for Peyton at that time romantically.

I thought they were an bit forced tbh and the writers clearly only went back there to try and take advantage of Chad/Sophia's relationship at that point.

I felt season 2 perfectly built their friendship so I guess I understood it more in season 2 than I did persay season 1.

The problem for me was that he was in love in her in 2.10 before any of those scenes went down :shrug:
