I didn't like Brooke and Lucas as well. Lucas never loved Brooke imo. It was Peyton.

I loved in season 1 the friendship of Peyton and Haley, but I hated Dan, especially that he put Nathan under pressure.

Thoughts on the season;
Thanks for starting. I recently have started rewatching the series and I'm on season 4 currently but I'm happy to have a place to discuss.

season 1 was flawless, in every way. its by far my favorite season of the show.

i loved lucas/peyton obviously, but i also really loved brooke as a character this season. actually the core 5 were all pretty amazing and genuine. even brooke/lucas had their moments.

loved haley in season 1 as well. loved the haley/peyton, haley/lucas and peyton/brooke friendships.

and of course i loved the parents/adult storylines this season. keith was really the heart of the show when it came to lucas.

i was never the bigest fan of haley but i did like them this season. they were very cute, the start of their relationship was adorable. i do think it was a bit fast and the show could have dragged it out more, but still. they were cute.

This was such a wonderful first season to start the show off with. It really introduced us to a lot of good characters.

First episode is my favorite not just because it got the ball rolling, but it introduces us to the characters we would fall in love with!

I was kind of hooked by the opening sequence with Lucas bouncing the ball and Nathan playing in the game.

Favourite/Least Favorite Character
Favorite this season was Peyton 100%. Loved that she was bitchy at times yet also had a really soft side. Love that she had a backbone and was an "artist". Also loved Lucas, and Haley a lot.
Least favorite was probably Nikki. Of the main characters I didnt dislike any of them, they were all so unique. Nikki was a decent villain but she started to get annoying at the end of the season.

Favorite/Least Favorite Couple
Lucas/Peyton 100%. They were amazing from the pilot episode and their story this season was so fantastic. I also loved the idea of brooke/nathan. And nathan/peyton even though they were dysfunctional. jake/peyton had some sweet moments. nathan/haley too for some of the season. i also liked the keith/karen thing.
Hated brooke/lucas as i felt lucas was just using her.

Fav/Least Fav Friendships
peyton/haley! they were so adorable and so genuine and so different. it was great watching them interact. i also loved the nathan/lucas interaction of course. brooke/peyton in the beginning of course but brooke was a bit shallow this season.
didnt really have a least favorite, i enjoyed all the interactions for the most part. but i didnt like brooke/haley much because brooke was so horrible to her in 107.

Favourite/Least Fav Storyline Arc:
other than lucas/peyton i feel like the entire nathan/lucas fued/interaction whatever it was, was great. the show should have dragged it out longer because it felt like the purpose of the show.
least favorite was probably the nikki stuff and post 115 stuff when bp were fighting and lucas/peyton rarely interacted. it just felt so messy.

Favourite/Least Fav Episode
Favorite episode was 106 by far. so funny. also liked 107, 101, 120, 104, 112, 115, 118, 122. Mostly all of them. lol
least favorite was 116 with nikki. i also didnt love 119 or 109. Too much BL for my taste.

Most Shocking Moment? / Saddest moment?
most shocking I'm not sure actually! maybe nikki taking jenny from the mall. / saddest was brooke finding out about LP.

What were you disappointed with?/What would you change/have done differently?
honestly it was such a good season, i wouldn't have changed a lot. but i didnt like how LP went about their relationship. I wish it had been done a bit differently.

What storyline/relationship/character/etc. would you have liked more development for?
Hmmm. maybe Nathan/haley more development before they became and actual couple. 5 episodes of pre-dating wasnt enough imo.

How would you rate this season?
10/10 FOR SURE. best season of the series imo.
