Episode 6.10. "Even Fairy Tale Characters Would Be Jealous"

Airdate: November 10, 2008

Tension fills the air backstage at Peyton's (Hilarie Burton) USO Show, as Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) deals with Peyton and Julian’s (guest star Austin Nichols) romantic past. Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) battles stage fright and Nathan (James Lafferty) struggles with a decision that could change his career. Brooke (Sophia Bush) gets a call that threatens her relationship with Sam (guest star Ashley Rickards). Millicent (Lisa Goldstein) confronts Mouth (Lee Norris) on his relationship with Gigi (guest star Kelsey Chow). Angels and Airwaves make a guest appearance. Janice Cook directed the episode written by Nikki Schiefelbein.

Just a note that this is writer Nikki Schiefelbein's *first* OTH episode ever - she was promoted to Writers' Assistant this season, having been Mark's assistant last season. She's awesome and I'm so proud of her! Congrats Nikki!

First time in a while that I watched and episode and I only watched it for the concert. But I did notice a funny/mistake in the episode. When Nathan is watching the Slam Ball team win....the announcer says the "new 2008 champs" (or something like that) aren't they 4 years ahead? LOL.
To say the least i will not be watching another episode. It feels like a different show.

I can't actually remember much from the episode, it didn't stick in my mind a lot. But things I liked:

- Lucas punching Julian. Wiped the sleezy smile off his face.
- LP watching each other at the concert.
- Haley/Joy singing.
- No Dan/Deb (I don't dislike them per se, but it's nice to have the main characters back)
- Milli telling Mouth to "get that **** out of my bed" (I'm bored by the whole GiGi storyline but that line was fierce)
- Brooke talking to Julian about LP, can't remember the exact quote "No one wants to be the third person in the Lucas & Peyton triangle"? or something. Right on girlfriend.
- Naley at the end.
- Nathan's quote on having a weird son.

Why has no one bothered to investigate about Q's death? It's like that storyline was brushed away when the next angry teenager, aka Sam came along.

LP - Loved the last scene. It was good to see that they have probably had the 'talk' about last season..but to see Lucas acknowledge what happened and how Peyton stayed strong throughout The glances they shared at the concert..such a throwback to ep 1.07..and the 'It's not ok'..i thought of Peyton's art from way back then too.

NH- that scene with Lucas.. and when Lucas wanted a kiss too I think it was actually good to see Q back..so that Nathan could see that he still had a second chance, and that he doesn't have to give it up completely..

BP- really liked that Brooke called Lucas out on the whole JP thing..and what happened last season. I think Brooke has really grown, and i really do like her character now and she's a great mum to Sam.. BP had good scenes..liked their intro on stage..

PH- Short scene..but i'll take what i can get!

Julian- i still think something more happened for Peyton to react the way she did when he showed up at Tric..but for now he doesn't seem like such a bad guy really..

Derek- nice to see him again

MM- I'm not particularly interested..but i do feel like Millie over-reacted a bit..

I enjoyed the whole concept of the USO concert. I believe Hilarie was involved when she visited the troops a few months back and then Mark asked her if she wanted to make it a part of the show. It turned out quite well, and they did actually have a proper show for the Marines

The next episode looks really good..can't wait! 1940's OTH!

Boring? Well, i don't think so. I though it was a OTH-episode, it had friendship, love, music, dreams... what could we except more from that ? It's a music OTH event, and its suppose to bring you back other music-episodes, is THE oth we know xD

Well, let's start. I don't have too much to comment. First of all, they were stunning tonight, Hill/Brooke/Haley were beautiful in that dresses.

Joy singing is always fantastic, and charismatic. Although i think that nathan could go to the concert, being backstage, it wouldn't hurt anybody, and Nate/Q scenes was a little boring to me, Q still get me out of nerves, so i really don't like him coming back, talking with characters, well, he could be there....... but, not like it was in this episode, like he is good, living, and walking to tree hill with that laugh xD well, ye, but i know some people miss him, and it hurt the episode he died, buuut... maybe if he appears to Jamie, it was more credible than talking and laughing to Nathan.

Mia is back, well i loved her song. And i think she would be a good friend to sam, but the BLH talk "they're boring", made me want to punch Mia, i know it was a little joke, but it was a bad joke.

Peyton/Julian ; they have chemistry, and everyone knows that. But Peyton is over him, we can see it in all the scenes, and like brooke said to lucas i think Julian was a rebound to Peyton. Talking about Brooke/Lucas scene, it was very pleasant to see, Brooke was fantastic in the scene, showing was right to Lucas.. without thinking the love they share together, blabla. Lucas/Brooke had history, in my opinion is over, Brooke moved on complety, she is all for LP getting good and together. I love her for that.

Brooke/Julian ; it was good the first scene between them, once again Brooke talks about LP, and they are the one, and any third person is not welcome there. It shows once again the Brooke love Lucas and Peyton, they are two of their best friends, it was cute to see her defending them to Julian. I really don't think that Pey should go pick Brooke saying 'stop flirting with my bestfriend' was a smart move to mark, that can get (bad) interpretations, i don't know. Like she don't want Brooke talking to him, because he is her ex. I don't know.

Julian/Lucas Yes Lucas, finally some stuff to like you. You punch the guy, really. i loved it! And i love Julian still wanting doing the movie, i really think Luke should do it.

Gigi/Mouth/Mel. less boring than the last episodes, less boring than Nate/Q scenes. Mel was being a virgin was Wow, and her talk to Brooke it was interesting (once again Brooke was awesome, she's by far the best person in the show), but Gigi annoys me, and Mouth could kick her ass and fire her.

Finally... Lucas/Peyton I loove them !! The last scene was beautiful, finally we had a little LP talk, LP is over the whole Lindsey stuff, the "You have been there for me especially when I strayed from us' talking about all the season 5 moments, IHY scene, Lindsey, etc etc, the things that made me Hate lucas so much, he strayed from Peyton, from LP, from real love. But know, i actually believe in his words. And then, he said that, because he didn't have to say that., lucas only say beautiful things when he's losing someone.. when the other is leaving him, now, he said it, because he feel it. Because he knows that he strayed, and Peyton still was there for him all season 5, beside the anger, and the bad Lucas stuff in the past season. And "Who wouldn't fall in love with Peyton Sawyer?" it broke me. XD it make me don't give up in LP love. And yes, i fell in love with peyton sawyer since the pilot xD A jealous Lucas it always good haha. Once again, Peyton made Lucas see that he should do the movie with Julian, 'cause is the right thing, 'cause it's what he wants. Peyton is always supporting Lucas, beside the Love, they are real for each other, and P supports L, and that is true love too. Sorry, but i was losing my LP feelings again... the house arrest, and this episode, made me come back to LP all over again.

OMG! OMG! OMG! Brooke/Julian were I just loved the flirting. And Sophia and AN have so much chemistry. Can we have an appreciation thread for Brooke/Julian then?

haha. I think it needs more BJ supporters. Well, maybe they can be a cute couple, i could be a shipper of this two, is the storyline is good. Let's see how Mark do it. But i think that they have chemistry as well, and i could be BJ supporter. Let's wait a couple of episodes.

peyton = lametard! seriously... be jealous, ask questions or get mad... because having a partner who is understanding is so much worse than the other wiser options... and the sad part is, is that i'm walking away from the ep liking lucas more than peyton... how unfathomable! because lucas is still the worst.character.EVER! but here is where it gets good... the longwinded conversation lp'rs have been waiting since forever for was summed up in a measly sentence!... you have been so strong and so good to me when i've strayed from us... HELL GOD DAMN YES! FINALLY! TRUTH!... and ok, i'll admit, it's a good freakin sentence! HEE!... but too little, too late

brooke putting it to lucas was all kinds of awesome!... seriously, how can anyone be that delusional?... yes! lucas did try to hook up with brooke two seconds after HE LEFT PEYTON!!... another fun fact lucas seems to keep forgetting... because there is no we in i! UGH!... i'm thankful that there is at least one woman left to put lucas in his place!... and if it's brooke, so be it!... but her being their little cheerleader is so retarded!... if brooke isn't completely subtracted from lp, then she's fixing their stupid problems... it's beyond annoying

how purrty is joy?! for real!... although i would have preferred hearing a song off of her new ep versus feel this, but still!... total love!... the whole telling derek how to be happy was kind of stupid though... this ep was soo preachy... you gotta let go, you gotta fight! blahblahblah

sam's line to petyon about how two people make a baby was funny!... i feel like peyton's brain is shrinking every ep, so it wasn't totally out there... too bad sam wasn't being literal... and they are finally lightening up on sam's raccoon eyes, yay... she's honestly one of the only characters i can stand... and i HATE new characters

q haunting nathan, gigi/mouth/milli triangle, mia... just no

derek ftmfw! him and peyton are the only pairing i currently like on the show <3

oh and the whole concert thing was all sorts of lame! the lip synching was so obvious... when you do an ep like this, it should be as clean as possible, which it wasn't... still loved AVA though!

the promo for next week looks so good! like susan said, it will either be really good or really bad... can't wait!
