after the rewatch last night, damn nathan was a jerk at first and lucas likable while a few episodes after, it all changed for me...lucas being a jerk and nathan being amazing

There was abandoning Peyton in a hotel room. And pretty much everything he did to hurt her in season 5. I love the angst, but he was pretty horrible.

i never like the leyton story so
 i think lucas and nathan tend to have grown up opposite, the jerk became the good and stable man and the stable and nice guy became a not so good man  __________________

Nathan took a while to grow though, since he still made a lot of mistakes in season 2-5. It's no like he suddenly became an amazing guy who did no wrong the second he started dating Haley.
