There was this popular site othforums, or something like that, and at the time a lot of people were posting there. Some had a lot of info, accurate spoilers too. I remember someone saying stuff about Mark not wanting to bring NH back together in S5, but network pushed him to. It would explain why he brought them back together so quickly and then completely ignored them as a couple for some time, with not giving them any storylines, just one cute scene time from time. We know Mark can be petty.

Hovewer, I'm myself not 100% sure on that info, because people say a lot of stuff, so keep that in mind.

I can see that happening actually and yes, he was very petty

Firstly, a lot slower! Definitely wouldn't make them a couple, probably just friends for a time. While I loved their scenes in 1x07-1x09 and almost everything later on, I would write them differently since 1x06 and save scenes like aboved mentioned for later seasons.

Just make them friends at first, with feelings slowly being stronger and deeper. I won't give details, I haven't really thought about that deeply.

I would have been tempted to have LN slowly get close at the same time so Haley wouldn't have felt so guilt

Yep, I think I might have ended the season with them kissing though. Not to mention I think someone like Nathan should have more problems dealing with Haley wanting to wait to get married in order to have sex.

They did become friendly pretty close considering though

IKR?! And what teenage boy would be completely okay with that really?

And Haley should never agree to marry that young, she's not reckless. Lol, everything about NH is unrealistic, but maybe that's the reason I like them so much?
