| The Perverts [Brooke ♥ Julian] #132: When I'm caught up in the darkness, it's your hand that's leading me. Welcome to the 132nd Brooke & Julian Appreciation Thread When I'm caught up in the darkness, it's your hand that's leading me. ![]() ![]() || written by AngellBrooke Davis had spent years watching her friends find love, doubting that she would ever find it herself. How could she when her heart was so closed off and had been for years. But that all changed when she met Julian Baker, a man who came to town with questionable intentions. Julian insisted he just came to town to make a movie. From the moment they met sparks were flying between these two and have been ever since. It all started with a warning, a grin, a ridiculous Molly Ringwald dance, a proposal, and a teenage runaway. Brooke wrote Julian off as a troublemaker and declined his charming proposal to design the wardrobe for the Ravens movie. She didn’t trust him with her best friend or her foster daughter Sam, whom he had developed a sudden interest in and his grin well that was not going to get him anywhere, it may have opened a lot of doors and gotten him into many beds before but it wouldn’t do him any good with HER. Julian accepted her decision, understanding that sometimes things just simply didn’t work out and wished her luck with her new designs. Later that same night Brooke was searching frantically all over town for Sam, when she ran into him at the local diner and asked if was looking for her too. Julian had insisted he was just there for a cup of coffee, he was sorry he wasn’t THAT guy. However a waitress from the café contradicted his words when she informed Brooke that the guy who just left had been asking her the same exact thing about Sam. Brooke realized there might be more to Julian than she had originally thought and he has been surprising her ever since. He surprised her with a bottle of wine for their “business meeting”, she surprised him with a sexy outfit and soft candlelight. They surprised one another by discovering they had more in common than either initially thought when Julian confided to Brooke that he may have read the book for his ex but he related to it because of Brooke, they both had demanding parental figures that always made them feel like whatever they did was never enough. They agreed that anything more between them than just business would only complicate matters but yet they could resist their intense attraction. From the moment they shared their first kiss, it felt right and this surprised both of them! He continued to surprise her as they dated for several months with Sam rooting them on. When she wanted the reassurance that they were having more than just fun, he asked her to go steady, proclaiming that it turned out everyone had been right all along; he was in Tree Hill for more than just the movie; he had come for the OTHER girl in the book. When Brooke’s insecurities surfaced due to her past and she wondered about his intentions Julian proved he was playing for keeps when he presented her with a piece of his past and shared with her everything that he was looking for in Brooke Davis, who had been nearly impossible to find but worth every second of the wait. He moved her with his ability to know exactly what she needed to hear but more importantly the sincerity and conviction behind them convinced her it was the truth. Slowly and patiently Julian was breaking down the walls that had been protecting her very fragile heart ever since high school. Brooke overwhelmed him to the point that he finally confessed his love for her. Most girls would have been elated to hear that such an amazing guy loved her. But Brooke Davis was not most girls and his love terrified her. Brooke tried to carefully explain that while she cared for him, she thought it was way too soon, things were moving too fast between them. Julian had come to know and understand Brooke well over the past couple months, so he refused to let her hide and challenged every weak excuse she had to offer. He vowed to wait for her until she was ready. He meant it to until his own insecurities got in the way and he began to doubt if she would ever let him into her heart when he feared her heart belonged to someone from her past long ago. Before they could figure things out the movie was canceled and he was heading back to LA. Brooke didn’t want him to go and yet she was unable to say the words that would make him stay, the words that he longed to hear, the words that would fix things between them, words that scared her to say because of the vulnerabilities they brought once they were released. Julian understood and explained that sometimes the beauty was in the attempt. He promised he would miss her and Brooke could do nothing but stand there and watch him walk away. As if Julian had not surprise her enough during their courtship he gave her the biggest yet when he asked her and Sam to come to LA with him. Brooke was tempted but could she really disrupt Sam’s life like that. She wasn’t sure she could do that despite her friend’s insistence that it might be time to follow her heart and the fact that Sam was in full support of relocating so that the three of them could be a family. After agonizing over her decision, in the end she just didn’t feel it was right to go because Sam’s life was in Tree Hill as was hers and she just hadn’t been ready to risk her heart again. ![]() ![]() PM Pat to be added (scott_family) ![]() 01. Because wine says do me...and he brought wine. 02. Because she's the reason he connected to the book. 03. Because she has an evil bitch mother and he has a perennially disappointed father. 04. Because they would be a power couple. 05. Because he thinks she's a 'hot' designer. 06. Because he wanted her work for his movie. 07. Because he is THAT guy. 08. Because he cares for Brooke & Sam. 09. Because here's to "that day". 10. Because it would be. 11. Because the STONER and the PRISS end up together. 12. Because he gave her his letterman jacket. 13. Because he came for the girl in the book...the other girl. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() __________________ "Late nights with the most beautiful girl in the world." | Thanks for the new thread! Love the title ![]() So, I really liked this episode. That coda was the first coda this season that I actually really liked and felt compelled to know what happens next. And Sophia did a greattt job directing, kudos! Now… -First of all, how adorable did Julian look while he was asleep on the couch? Seriously, adorable! Ahem, anywho, the first BJu scene was absolutely adorable, I was all excited when Julian told Brooke that him and Alex would finally (!!!) be done with the script, I was tired of Alex being Buzzkill-ing-ton. And I so wish their kiss had been longer, heh. -I really loved that Julian/Paul scene that we got. I loved that Paul had the ‘Thin Red Line’ movie poster in his office, as did Julian, it made my heart happy. And I love that they are going to be producing the movie together, hee! -Brooke really did slap a bitch, ey? LOVED IT! Rachel had that coming, trying to blame Brooke about her own pathetic relapse. Bitch pleaseeeeeee. Brooke doesn’t mess around. -I really feel like Alex's character is progressing a lot, and I like that and all, but the fact that she's so needy/dependent on Julian irks me to no end, especially when she knows he already has his own girl to be taking care of. Gosh. But I do have to say, Jana's acting was seriously amazing in that scene where she was breaking down in front of Julian, like, legit. I did actually feel bad for her when the case was empty and Julian thought that she had been lying to him all night though. But I’m not gonna lie, I love that Julian stormed out of there, I was like, “Finally dammit! Go be with Brooke now! You know, you’re girlfriend? Who you looooove?!” -I can’t hate Julian for going to try and help Alex, because he just wanted to be a good guy and help out and could obviously see that she was in trouble, but yes, I do agree that he should have been more considerate of Brooke’s feelings. He already knew that things were already rocky between the two of them, because of Alex no less, so yeah, but at the same time he didn’t know what was going Brooke or how much she needed him, but then again maybe he would have known if he hadn’t ran off to help Alex. I really felt for Brooke because of that. Julian going to ‘save’ Alex reminded me of all the times that Lucas would run off and save Peyton all the time, and I remember how all Brooke wanted was to be saved and never was and yeah…my heart broke for her. Yeah, so I love Julian for being a good guy and all, but he's supposed to be the guy that Brooke shouldn't be all insecure with, so it annoys me that she is, I guess she has her reasons, but eh. Gr. I have mixed feelings about all that stuff. Like, Brooke, you love Julian right? How about you show that you trust him. Julian, I get it, you love Brooke, now how about you actually show it? Sound good? Yes. Any questions? No. Moving on… -I don't really know how to interpret that last Brooke scene. She was either sad about not being preggers and doubting her relationship with Julian, hence her line about not being the girl who gets the boy and the baby and she ended the episode with neither, OR maybe she threw the birth control away so she could try to get pregnate, but after tonight’s episode, I doubt Julian will be getting any for a while OR maybe offscreen she did find out that she's not able to have children, thus her throwing away the birth control, since she won't be needing it if she can't have children . I really hope it’s not the latter though. Brooke really deserves to have children and if she‘s not able to, expect one very pissed off me! -I know Brooke fans say this all the time, but it seriously needs to be said yet again, WHY CAN’T BROOKE JUST BE HAPPY FOR ONCE? Gah! I get that we need drama for couples and TV Shows to be interesting and all, but still, we can have drama without it being about third parties and crying and blah blah blah, yo. If I wanted to see Brooke sad and crying and insecure all the time, I’d just re-watch my Season 6 DVDs. Thanks. -No Brooke in the promo? . And wtf, if Alex gonna go all psycho stalker on Julian now? ‘I love you’? Get the hell outta here girl. And, is 7x10 the last episode before hiatus?-Oh! And in that Alex/Julian scene, I was annoyed that he was calling her funny/strong/independent/etc, because even though she might be all those things deep down, it just annoyed me because they were the same adjectives that Julian used to describe Brooke in 6x16. I think that’s about all I have to say right now. ![]() __________________ "do you have any idea what you are to me? everyone else is gonna be second best. | |||
