Good question about why not letting Dan's character be redeemed and fix things with Nathan at least on some level in season 8, that was intended to be the final season. Makes me wonder whether Mark even originally planned on redeeming Dan. However it is, I'm glad things went the way they did and that we got season 9 that gave Dan and the show in general a real closure that S8 failed to give it.

Honestly, I feel like Mark really don't know what to do even he admit that he always play safe when it comes to S8 because he want to have happy season or something like that, but to me, I feel like he doesn't know what to do w/ the whole S8 since nothing actually happen beside S7 and S9.. Oh well.. But I agree w/ you that if we didn't get S9 and I bet that people wish that they shouldn't get S8 or something like that..

I would gladly make S8 to disappear honestly. I liked only maybe a few stuff and hated all the rest, which would be a lot.

Season 8 was just so flat and going through the motions. that's why when a season 9 was on the horizon everyone was like "WHAAAA"

and Season 9 made up for what the problem of Season 8 was

Yes, it was more interesting and everyone had a storyline (even the ones that shouldn't have IMO, like Chase), not just a very few chosen characters.

I wonder the same thing, but I know that there is one movie that suppose to come out to theater that he directed, but I wish that we can hear little more about him, but I guess that he wasn't all "famous".. Sigh..
