With deepest regret and exclusively from PJOL, I'm posting the following message that was posted on the Paul Johansson Online forum by Paul last night.

"Unfortunately I won't be able to make the James Lafferty Charity game this year. I have a previous work commitment in Los Angeles. It will be awesome this year and I hope all those planning to attend will continue to show support for this great event.
pj "

Additional note from Paul(as I'd e-mailed him and asked him to reconfirm what he posted). He posted the following this evening.
"Got your e-mail. I have to shoot a scene in Nick Cassavetes movie, "My Sister's Keeper" this thurs and friday night. I have explained to James Lafferty and he understands. Sorry I'll miss you but this is the nature of the biz as they say."

I can't believe Paul isn't going! he's always such a sporter when it comes to these CG and any other event including the rest of the cast. He'll surely be missed this year.

Thanks for bringing the news, Kate!

Thanks for the ratings! You know with the long hiatus we had, I am sure there are people that have not found their way back to TV yet.

i'm not sure if i should post this in here or not, so if it's not allowed a mod can delete it as soon as they see it... i know we don't have a thread for the game so i figured i'd just throw this in here

turns out due to a work conflict, my friend who was coming with me to the charity game this weekend bailed leaving me a 6 hour ride to the game (alone) and an extra ticket. i'd rather someone on here have my extra ticket who couldn't get one than some random person from criagslist. so i'm putting it out there that i have an extra ticket so PM me if you are interested. i would honestly rather someone going by themselves or just one other person rather than someone looking to join up like a big group, but it doesn't really matter. if i don't reply to your PM right away, it just means that i haven't been by my computer, not that i'm ignoring you.

In fact, the veteran drama achieved its best performance since January 8th and its second-highest rating this season-to-date in F12-34. Additionally, ONE TREE HILL ranked #1 in the 9pm hour and for the night overall with Teens and Female Teens. It also placed second in the time slot in W18-34 (3.1/8) and F12-34, finishing among the evening’s top five shows in both demos. Furthermore, ONE TREE HILL held or built on its GOSSIP GIRL lead-in across all key measures.

I'm not always sure I understand what all that means, but it sounds good, especially the part about being #1 in the time slot for teen and female teen groups.
it's great the OTH is #1 in the demos that the CW is aiming for
maybe the CW will soon have to focus more on promoting OTH more than GG if OTH keeps on out preforming it?

Here's a kind of funny article with Hilarie Burton mentioned in it from Star News Online:

Quote:
I hit on Hilarie Burton
By Jarvis Slacks,

Thursday Night: I was late to the Grey Gardens Spring Fashion Show and fund-raiser. The fashion show, which is held at Odessa, is a yearly "must-do," and I felt bad for missing it. I overextended myself, promising 50 things but only delivering on half.

I did manage to sneak my way in later, after all the fashion was gone and the show was over. There were still tons of people at Odessa, many and multiple people garbed in ties and dresses and talking about, I'm sure, interesting subject matter.

Then I fell in love.

There was this girl talking to some friends of mine. Why would someone like her be talking to friends like mine? My friends don't speak in complete sentences. Most times, when my friends talk, I end up text messaging someone more important. Who was this girl? It was sunshine beaming through storm clouds. A slight moment of hope.

"What are you about?" she asked me.

"I'm no big deal. What do you do?"

"I act," she said.

"Do you like 30 Rock?" It's the only television show I watch. That and Man vs. Wild.

"It's my favorite!" she said. "Tracy Jordan is my celebrity crush!"

We talked about television and Tina Fey and other cultural hot points. I suddenly had an epiphany. Like global warming, this whole dating thing could be possible. The girl walked off to get another drink, and I leaned over to one of my homeboys.

"What's that girl's name?" I asked.

"That's Hilarie Burton, you moron."

"She famous?"

"She's on One Tree Hill!" he screamed in my face.

"Is that a TV show?"

I actually heard this story a few days ago The person who wrote it is my friends teacher and she was telling me his story on Monday.

Paul's usually the coach for the other team, isn't he? Or for the Raven's? That sucks.
