Chad ❘ Lucas #338 Because Chad Will Always Be Our Number One Choice.

Welcome to the 338th Chad Michael Murray/Lucas Eugene Scott Appreciation Thread

"My scars are slowly healing but sorrow is still there.
I will always bring with me a certain fragility.
But I'm feeling more serene"

Born in Buffalo, New York, Chad found a ready audience early on. When he was four or five years old, the young ham performed skits and sang made-up songs for his large family which includes three brothers and a sister. At age fifteen, a high school football injury landed him in a hospital where a nurse encouraged him to pursue a modeling career.

Two years later, Chad won a scholarship from a modeling agency in Buffalo to attend a modeling convention in Orlando. There he met his destiny when an agent from Los Angeles spotted him and persuaded the seventeen-year-old to pursue his dream of acting after graduation from high school.

In 1999, the aspiring actor headed for Hollywood where he supported himself modeling for such clients as Sketchers, Tommy Hilfiger, and Gucci while looking for a break. Soon after he arrived, Chad appeared in several guest-starring television roles including an episode of "Diagnosis Murder" (1993). Then he got the call he'd been hoping for. The WB's "Gilmore Girls" (2000) was casting for the role of Tristan DuGrey. They were looking for someone who was likable and charismatic but with an edgy side, and someone who had that certain "IT" quality. Chad was all that plus he had the perfect physical characteristics that the show's writers had in mind. The teenager won the role and since then his star has been raising, with appearances in TV shows such as Dawson's Creek and One Tree Hill, and movies such as A Cinderella Story, House of Wax and Home of the brave.

He admires the talents of actors Edward Norton, Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Pacino Robert De Niro and Sean Penn and uses their influences in his work. Always a firm believer in clean living, Chad is a natural athlete. He played his favorite sport, football, in high school and keeps fit by working out at the gym, in-line skating, playing soccer, volleyball and basketball as well as football pick-up games. He is an anti-drug role model for kids and is active in charities for children and teens during his spare time.

"I try to do what I can to help. There are things
that touch my heart and children are the first”

"I think having sick children is the biggest
sadness in the world. If I can do anything to prevent
that, then I'll do it. It doesn't matter. I'll be there”

  • Chad is involved in the Hunter’s Hope Foundation which gathers
money to cure children who suffer from Krabbe disease

  • Since 2006 he sponsor the Red Raiders, a Pop Warner
    Little Scholars football team

  • He organized two Charity Football games

Chad Michael Murray's dreamy eyes and model-like body"

"I don't like to be alone. It's scary being alone. I'm always worried
that I'm going to be abandoned or that people won't care for me"

“there are things that go through your head on a daily basis, different
thoughts you have that a lot of people can’t understand”
(this is about being abandoned)

All I ever ask for is health and happiness

"In the end, it's not about fame or fortune. It's what you leave
behind - your work and your family - that really counts"

“My rule is just to be who I am. Sometimes I don’t take my own advice,
but I know that no matter what, I can be happy with continuing to go forward.
I wake up in the morning proud of the man I’m becoming”

“I don’t think people know what’s really important to me. Maybe
that’s my fault. Maybe I should have taken a step back and looked
at the way I handled things in the past and readjusted myself”
"I love acting, but part of me wants to have a family, raise kids
- have a normal life."

"I am an ordinary guy who likes normal things,
and have feelings like a normal human being."

"The rumours - that's the thing I hate. People assume way too much,
and I can't stand it. I know the truth; I don't feel like I have to defend myself. I'm a pretty
good guy. Yeah, I like to go out with my boys and have a good time - I'm 23 years old!
But the next thing you know, there are 20 stories about me.
It's inappropriate on so many levels. I don't know if it will ever stop.
All I need to know is, I have faith in myself and I know what's really going on."

"Acting for me has always been a way to escape from my world,
to express what I used to keep hidden in the depth of my soul”. "

"I knew I would give it everything I had. And I think if you work hard enough
and study hard enough, then you get opportunities. And I tried to take advantage
of the opportunities I was given. You go through the audition process, you read
and read and read for parts. Once in a while, you find one that's right for you.
But you have to study, you have to take classes and work as hard as you can."

"I love it. I really, really enjoy my craft. I enjoy my job.
I set my goals high, and I take it step by step.
The gift, to me, is the final project"

"When the show finally comes to the end
— which, it's probably coming close, would be my guess —
I've been preparing myself mentally and physically to just be ready to go."

"My goal as an artist is to do projects that are creatively fulfilling to me.
They're not going to hand a "Taxi Driver' to some guy off the street.
You have to work and show your credibility and your love for your art.
You have to push yourself and strive for something better.
You have to prove yourself to people. And I'm getting to do that."
"When I come home it's just Chad being Chad"

"I'm not in this for the fame.
I love telling stories"

"I learn more and more, I always try to improve myself. I would like to make movies I can be proud of"

I'm just not going to do something for money's sake. I'm going to do something for pride,
and I'm not going to sell my pride at any cost. I'm want to do something that I love.
As an artist I want to make sure that I give my fans and myself what I feel is a good
artist's choice and good choice that I would want to make...a film that I would want to go see.

"I really wanna know everything so that one day
I can sit back behind the camera and create my owns stories"

# "I spend the most of my free time writing. I just finished a book of poems and I would
like to publish a novel: I have in mind a story between “The Lord of the flies” and “Cast away”
# "Drama fascinates me much more, infact it’s no coincidence everything I write is drama"
# "The name of it is "Seven Years" and it's about seven years journey of a man and it starts
off, there are only three little stories in it, more interpretive writing, and then it's based on
things that he sees, whether it's a color or a fantasy or a dream or, you know, something that
he notices about people, greed, cultural awakings that he realizes and throughout the story he
grows with all these things around him, makes a noncomformist decision, just says 'You know
what? I'm not going to live by the format I have, I'm giving everything up' and he gets the best
thing in his life because of it. I think it's about knowing your life and making choices for yourself"
# He is working on the script “Blank Screens”, the story of a mature man that nobody really knows:
“It’s a project I have been cultivating for 6 years and maybe it reflects the aware part of myself"
- L'Uomo Vogue
# "Life stories. I want to put out projects that have a lot to do with childhood, what it was like growing
up. Stories that don’t necessarily have a happy ending. Artistic pieces that really delve into a
character’s mind and pull out some of the stuff that you don’t normally see--- you know, the kind
of stuff that everyone’s thinking but nobody ever says? I want to be able to visually show that.
So I’ve got a few things in the works. It’s just important to me to make a great work and great art"

"His speciality is eye contact, really focusing on you.
He's brought me to tears in scenes where I thought I was all cried out.
Chad laughs a whole lot, but he can also embrace Lucas's broody, moody side"
- Hilarie Burton

“I wish I worked with him more. I can see why the girls are so crazy in love with him.
He has so much charisma. He oozes charisma. He's a great actor,
I learn from him and he's a great guy to hang out with all day"
Barbara Alyn Woods -

"After a very public breakup, he pretty much disappeared from the spotlight.
Now he's re-emerged - more introspective and, well, wiser.
You can't help but want to give him a second chance"
- Cosmogirl, January 2006

"Chad is one of my dearest friends on the show and incredible person and
one of the few people that have that magic star dust glittered all over them.
And it makes me hate him,
because when I was his age I had no talent and he has all the talent"
- Paul Johansson -

"Chad's a really talented kid and a good kid.
It was great to get him to play Lucas.
He's brought a different color to that character"
Mark Schwahn
"Chad has an amazing heart.
He's one of those men who desire truth in every area of their lives."

"Michael – his name is Chad Michael Murray; I just can't seem to call him Chad –
has a good heart and desires to treat everyone around him well”

“Chad is a gentleman and a warrior”

"I've learned so much, especially with Chad. He is really good with
camera and lighting and technical stuff. He has learned a lot about
that and he's really good to work with and so I have learned so much
technically. It's been amazing."
- Bethany Joy Lenz

“He likes to keep things loose and as light as he possibly can.
He likes to mess around and joke with people”
- Greg Prange -

"Everybody knows that making it in Hollywood can be superchallenging.
It's especially hard when you don't have a lot of money or people to rely on,
but Chad overcame it by being smart and trusting in his talent."
BOP magazine -

He's more than just a WB babe
- Teen People -

(talking about "HOW") So thank godness for the soothing and
sometimes shirtless presence of Chad Michael Murray.
- Teen Vogue

"With his God-like good looks, it's hard to believe how humble and human he actually is.

Chad Michael Murray is a passionate, dedicated, and determined actor
ready to join the ranks of Hayden Christensen, James Franco, and Brad Pitt!

Chad has something I like to call "it."
While there's no dictionary description for such a term, it's a quality well known
and well sought after within the entertainment industry. Most sum it up as:
"I can't describe it, but I know it when I see it." Chad has it.
But ask him to describe the "it factor," and he'll give you the most modest response"
- lindzy.com -

“Chad is one who gets excited when he talks about
something that fascinates him directly. But he has also some r
eluctance, above all when he is afraid to promote himself.”
Grazia D’Annunzio (L’Uomo vogue) -
“It’s that quiet, reflective vibe that stands out most about Chad these days”
- Rachel Chang (Cosmogirl) -

"Lucas' life has a lot of similarities with my life.
My mother left when I was a kid and I felt like I had
an opportuniy to bring the truth and reality to a story"

"When I read Lucas' character, I just felt there was
something wholesome and beautiful about him and the
way he always rose above everything. He seemed incredibly
intelligent and well spoken and I think the Lucas that
was on the pilot and on the rivercourt is the same Lucas
that is going to end the show. He's seen all these things in
his life and he's realized many of his mistakes, but in the
end, ya know, Lucas the good guy is always going to be there"

"Look into your heart, ok?
It may be flawed physically but it's a good one.
It's what makes you you. Look, you've changed other
people's lives by opening it up, don't close that off"

SEASON 1

"There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune.
But omitted, and the voyage of their life is bound in shallows
and miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat, and we must
take the current when it serves -- or lose the ventures before us" Pilot

"Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark
in the hopeless swaps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the
not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration
for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world
you desire can be won. It exists.. it is real.. it is possible.. it's yours" 1.02

"E.E. Cummings once wrote: 'To be nobody-but-yourself -
in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make
you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which
any human being can fight; and never stop fighting" 1.03

"John Steinbeck once wrote; 'It seems to me that if you or I must
choose between two courses of thought or action, we should remember
our dying and try so to live that our death brings no pleasure on the world" 1.05

hovered and remained for much more than a moment.
And sound stopped and movement stopped for much,
much more than a moment. And then the moment was gone" 1.06

"What a frightening thing is the human,
a mass of gages, and dials, and registers, but we
can read only a few and those perhaps not accurately" 1.09

"And the little prince said to the man, 'Grownups
never understand anything for themselves, and it is
tiresome for children to be always explaining things to them" 1.11

"Some people believe that raven’s guide travelers to
their destinations. Others believe that the sight of a solitary
raven is considered good luck. While a group of ravens predicts
trouble ahead. And a raven right before battle promises victory" 1.22

SEASON 2

"T.H. White said; perhaps we all give the best of our hearts uncritically…
to those who hardly think about us in return"
2.02

"Katherine Anne Porter once said; 'There seems to be a kind of order in the universe…
in the movement of the stars and the turning of the Earth and the changing of the
seasons. But human life is almost pure chaos. Everyone takes his stance, asserts
his own right and feelings, mistaking the motives of others, and his own"
2.06

"Oliver Wendell Holmes once said: Many people die with their music still IN them.
Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live...
Before they know it...time runs out"
2.07

"Nathanial Hawthorne once wrote: No man, for any considerable period, can wear one face to himself --
and another to the multitude, without finally getting bewildered as to which may be the true"
2.10

"Tennessee Williams once wrote; When so many are lonely as seem to be lonely,
it would be inexcusably selfish to be lonely alone"
2.11

"Octavio Paz once wrote; Solitude is the profoundest fact of the human condition.
Man is the only being who knows he is alone"
2.14

"Kahlil Gibran once wrote; 'You're reason and your passion are the rudder..
and the sails of your seafaring soul. If either be broken, you can but toss and drift,
or else be held at a standstill in mid-seas. For reason, ruling alone, is a force
confining; and passion, unattended, is a flame
that burn to it’s own destruction"
2.16

"Charles Bukowski once wrote; 'There will always be something to ruin our lives.
It all depends on what or which finds us first. You're always ripe and ready to be taken"
2.17

"Joseph Conrad once wrote: 'Who knows what true happiness is, not the conventional word..
but the naked terror. To the lonely themselves, that wears a mask, the most miserable outcast hugs
some memory.. or some illusion"
"Stephen King once wrote: 'Time takes it all, whether you want it to or not.
Time takes it all, time bears it away.. and in the end.. there is only
darkness. Sometimes we find others in that darkness, and
sometime we lose them there again"
2.19

"And Hansel said to Gretel, 'Let us drop these breadcrumbs... so that together we find our way home.
Because losing our way would be the most cruel of things.'
This year.. I lost my way"
"Shaw was right: as we strain to grasp the things we desire,
the things we think will make our lives better: money, popularity, fame...
we ignore what truly matters -- the simple things: like friendship, family, love.
The things we probably already had."
2.22

"Tennessee Williams once wrote; 'We all live in a house of fire.
No fire department to call. No way out.
Just the upstairs window to look out of
while the fire burns the house down…
with us trapped, locked in it"
2.23

SEASON 3

"Henry David Thoreau once wrote: 'Live each season as it passes;
breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit and resign yourself to the influences of each"
3.02

"Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote:
'All are architects of fate... living in these walls of time"
"Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote:
'All are architects of fate... so look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again"
3.03

"Out of the night that covers me, black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch
of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeoninga
of chance my head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears looms
but the horror of the shade, and yet the menace of the years finds, shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate, how charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul"
3.06

"Robert Louis Stevenson wrote: 'you can not run away from weakness;
you must fight it out... or perish. And if that be so, why not now, and where you stand?"
3.08

"Ida Scott Taylor wrote: 'Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone,
and do not be troubled about the future,
for it has yet to come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful
that it will be worth remembering"
3.10

"Most of our life is a series of images.
They pass us by like towns on the highway.
But sometimes a moment stuns us as it happens.
And we know that this instant is more than a fleeting image.
We know that this moment, every part of it, will live on forever"
3.14

"Does this darkness have a name? This cruelty, this hatred.
How did it find us? Did it steal into our lives or did we seek it out and embrace it?
What happened to us? That we now send our children into the world like we send young
men into war, hoping for their safe return. But knowing that some will be lost along the way.
When did we lose our way? Consumed by the shadows, swallowed whole by the darkness.
Does this darkness have a name? Is it your name?"

to have despaired and have recovered hope"
3.19

"At this moment there are six billion, five hundred and two million,
eight hundred and sixty seven thousand, one hundred and twenty people in the world,
give or take a few and sometimes all you need is one. For better or for worse."
"William Shakespeare wrote; 'Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds.
It is an ever fixed mark that looks on tempests and is never shaken. Love
alters not with time’s brief hours and weeks, but bears it out even to the edge of doom"
3.22

SEASON 4

"My name is Lucas Scott; I am a senior at Tree Hill High School. I play basketball, at least I used to. I have a girlfriend, at least I used to. And, I have a best friend. Tree Hill is just a place somewhere in the world. Maybe it's a lot like your world. Maybe it's nothing like it. But, if you look closely you might see someone like you. Someone trying to find their way; someone trying to find their place; someone trying to find their self. Sometimes it’s easy to feel like you’re the only one in the world who's struggling, who’s frustrated, or unsatisfied at barely getting by. But, that feeling is a lie and if you just hold on; just find the courage to face it all for another day, someone or something will find the way and make it all okay. Because we all need a little help sometimes, someone to help us hear the music in the world. To remind us that it won’t always be this way. That someone is out there, and that someone will find you" 4.01

“There are moments in our lives we find ourselves at a crossroads - afraid, confused, without a road map. The choices we make in those moments can define the rest of our days. Of course, when faced with the unknown most of us prefer to turn around and go back. But once in awhile, people push on to something better. Something found just beyond the pain of going it alone. And just beyond the bravery and courage it takes to let someone in. Or to give someone a second chance. Something beyond the quite persistance of a dream. Because it's only when you're tested that you truly discover who you are. And it's only when you're tested that you discover who you can be. The person you want to be does exist, somewhere on the other side of hardwork, belief, faith and the heartache and fear of what lies ahead” 4.02

"You ever look at a picture of yourself and see a stranger in the background. It makes you wonder how many strangers have pictures of you. How many moments of other people's lives have we been in? Were we a part of someone's life when their dream came true or were we there when their dreams died? Did we keep trying to get in? As if we were somehow destined to be there? or did the shot take us by surprise? Just think you could be a big part of someone else's life and not even know it" 4.03

"There comes a time when every life goes off course. In this desperate moment, you must choose your direction. Will you fight to stay on path? Will others tell you who you are? Or will you label yourself? Will you be haunted by your choice? Or will you embrace your new path? Each morning you choose to move forward or simply give up."
"There comes a time when every life goes off course. In this desperate moment who will you be? Will you let down your defenses, and find solace in someone unexpected? Will you reach out? Will you face your greatest fear bravely? And move forward with faith. Or will you succumb to the darkness in your soul?"
4.04

"When life comes rushing at you from our of the darkness, who will you choose to face it with? Will it be someone you trust? Will they be wise? And will their love for you help them to guide you to the light? Or will they lose their way in the darkness? Will they make noble choices? Or will that person be someone untested, someone new? Life comes rushing at you from out of the darkness, when it does -- is there someone in your life you can count on? Someone who will watch over you when you stumble and fall? And in that moment, give you the strength to face your fears alone?" 4.06

"Regret comes in all shapes and sizes. Some are small like when we do a bad thing for a good reason. Some are bigger like when you let down a friend. Some of us escape the pain of regret by making the right choice. Some of us have little time for regret because we're looking forward to the future. Sometimes we have to fight to come to terms with the past, and sometimes we bury our regret by promising to change your own ways. But, our biggest regrets are not for the things we did -- but, for the things we didn't do. Things we didn't say that could've save someone that we care about. Especially when we can see the dark storm that's headed their way" 4.07

"Have you ever wondered what marks our timing? If one life can really make an impact on the world? Or if the choices we make matter? I believe they do. And I believe that one man can change many lives... for better, or worse" 4.10

"Have you ever had a dream that seemed so real that when you woke up you didn't know what to believe? What would you do if what you thought was true, wasn't, and what you thought wasn't true, was? Would you retreat into your dreams with the hope of finding a more perfect reality? Sometimes, life is stranger than a dream. And the only way to wake up is to face what lies hidden in yourself. And you can only hope that in those moments of dark reflection, that you are not alone" 4.11

"Sometimes pain becomes such a huge part of your life that you expect it to always be there because you can't remember the time of your life when it wasn't. But one day, you feel something else. Something that feels wrong only because it's so unfamiliar and in that moment you realize you're happy."

"Happiness comes in many forms. In company of friends, in the feeling you get when you make someone else's dream come true or in the promise with hope renewed. It's okay to let yourself be happy because you never know how fleeting that happiness might be"
4.12

"You ever wonder how long it takes to change your life? What measure of time is enough to be life altering? Is it four years like high school? one year? an eight week rock tour? Can your life change in a month, or a week or a single day? We’re always in a hurry to grow up, to go places, to get ahead but when you’re young one hour can change everything"

"I wish I woulda hung out with Glenda before today. Something tells me she could have been a great friend. But it's good to know there's still a little time left to do that... And I also learned her last name. And I learned that one hour can change everything"
4.13

"If you could go back and just change one thing about your life, would you? And if you did, would that change make your life better? Or would that change ultimately break your heart? Or break the heart of another? Would you choose an entirely different path? Or would you change just one thing? Just one moment. One moment that you've always wanted back" 4.14

"William Blake once wrote: “There are things that are known and things that are unknown. And in between, there are doors” 4.17

"Sometimes I wonder if anyting is absloute anymore. Is there still right and wrong? Good and Bad? Truth and Lies? Or is everything negotiable? Left to interpretation. Grey.

Sometimes we're forced to bend the truth. Transform it, becasue we're faced with things not of our own making. And sometimes...things simply catch up to us."

"Truth is still absolute. Believe that. Even when that truth is hard and cold and more painful and you ever imagined. And even when truth is more cruel than any lie."
4.18

"Graduation Day Tree Hill High A day when we officially leave the refuge of high school and begin our real lives but what are those lies as we go into the world what matters most. Is it about the things we create, the things we achieve the awards we win? Is it about who we are when we fail? Whats more important? What we become or how we become it?" 4.20

SEASON 5

Much as some of us fight it, our parents have a mystical hold over us... the power to affect our thoughts and emotions the way only they can. It's a bond that changes over time but doesn't diminish, even if
they're half a world away... or in another world entirely. It's a power we never fully understand. We're left only to wonder that when our time comes, what kind of hold will
we have on our children? 5.04

"The great American writer John Steinbeck once wrote ' "As happens sometimes, a moment settled and hovered and remained for much more than a moment. And sound stopped and movement stopped for much, much more than a moment. And then the moment was gone." ' This quotation almost perfectly sums up meeting Chad. The first time I ever met Chad was one of the best moments of my life. I just remember seeing him and be so thrilled to be around him. I can vividly remember Chad looking straight at me, shaking my hand, and saying a suave manner, "Hi, I'm Chad." That is one of the moments that sticks out to me the most. I remember looking into his eyes. Chad has these amazing eyes. They are so blue and pure, and you can see his soul in them. Just one look and you are in a trance. For a moment, I was lucky enough to look into his eyes with him looking into mine, and also his smile. One thing that you first notice about Chad is his smile. For one single moment, I was looking at Chad not as an actor or someone greater than me, but as an equal, as my friend. For one moment in time that felt much more than a moment, I was able to connect with someone I had always admired and put up so high on a friendly and 'normal' level. But like Steinbeck wrote, and then suddenly, the moment was gone. Moments like that are ones that you always carry with you. Even though this one special encounter was a while ago, it is still a moment settled, forever, in my heart."

"There is something about Chad that makes all the girls go wild. Yes, he is so irresistably attractive. Yes, he has a hot body, piercing baby blues, pearly whites, and a great ass. But besides all the charm, good looks, and amazing acting skills, Chad has something else that makes him so appealing. Chad has character. He has morals. He has something he stands up for and something to fall back upon. Chad makes that evident in everything he does, and it shines through when you meet him. The second time I met Chad, he was just radiant. He is just too sweet, someone that you know won't let you down. Chad was so kind to me, it is obvious that he appreciates and loves his fans. He was a doll to talk to, he listens to what you have to stay and takes time to have an actual conversation with you. Chad is grateful for all his fans (and he especially loves their gifts) because he know that if it wasn't for the support of his fans, he would not be where he is today. Many people love Chad for his looks, or his acting, or both. But not many people are able to witness Chad Micheal Murray just being Chad, a football loving guy from Clarence, New York. He is a joy to be around and he is amazingly able to make you feel appreciated for being a fan." - AmeliaBeck

I remember the first time I ever actually SPOKE to Chad. [I said hi and stuff before but that don't count.] I was an extra for the day and we had just finished a scene at the school. I accidentally left my book bag into the classroom, and told Lassidor who had to go back in there and get it. She asked me to wait in the hallway. Well, across the hallway was Chad and a crew guy. They were cracking jokes and making fun of each other. Chad was way taller than him, so he was towering over him pointing his finger in the guy's face and shouting, "I'll beat your ass son! I'll do it!" Well this man is laughing and tapping him on the chest as to pretend he can't push Chad back, and Chad's saying something like, "Wha-wha-wha-what's up? Huh? You wanna go punk?" Well that obviously made me laugh out loud and Chad just stopped in mid-sentence and he looked at me. Then he says, "Are you laughing at me?" and I nodded. "I'm funny, aint I?" he bragged. I nodded. So I introduced myself to him and he shook my hand. Lass gave me my bag and told me to go back to holding. So as I slowly turned to walk away, Chad said it was nice to meet me and I said same. Then he said, "Hey be careful going back, sweetie. You have a good night." I told him to do the same and he winked at me then went back to cussing the guy out. LOL!
Another great moment with Chad was during the finale of Season 4. We had to do a scene where Haley throws the water on Rachel, and I was standing right there behind them. Well between scenes, Chad walked over to me and my girlfriends and handed us little flowers that he picked from the side of the house we were filming in. We picked on him a bit for it and he was like, "I was trying to be romantic here!" and my friend Ellie goes, "You're being corny, Chad!" and he acted like she stabbed him in the heart. So he talked to us while they were measuring the scene with the first set of stand-ins and being very adorable as always. My friend Sam tripped and shouted, "F - ck an A, man!" Chad laughed and said, "No, no. You got it wrong. F - ck a B, it has two holes." We laughed at him and set told him he had to get out of the scene. Well Bridg wasn't there to stand-in for Rachel so they let me do it. While they were bringing a measure tape towards my head and setting up the camera stilts, I heard Chad shouting at me and talking about my pants. What a butthead!
I have soooooo many stories I could tell about Chad and they would all probably be able to fill up a whole thread by myself. But what I love about Chad the most is how cool he is. He always introduces himself with a handshake and a "Hey sweetie, how are you?" type of attitude. He's always a bit flirty, just like the rest of the cast. But he does it in a gentleman type of way. He always walks into a room very preserved. He sometimes sticks to himself. Sometimes when you watch him try to study his script or if someone's reading it, he gets into his infamous "broody" look and you can see how dedicated he really is to work. So much dedication. He's such a great spirit, and I just love him to death. I'm so proud of him and wish him only the best in life"

"Meeting Chad was an amazing experience! He is just awesome. Period. Honestly, meeting him made me fall even more for him, the guy is the sweetest, he is so caring with everyone! He gives so much, that's something that i noticed immediately. He was so down to earth with me, and with all the other people. What i absolutely adored is his natural, he was genuine with every single person that talked to him, or were around him. He acted totally normally, and you can tell he is a a funny guy, he loves joking. He is very charismatic, i think he is the most charismatic guy i have ever met, when he is here, everyone is looking at him, he just catches the attention without doing anything special, it's just who he is. He made the best impression to me, i was amazed by his genuineness, and just by him. I just love him, and on a shallow note, he looks really really handsome in real life, so much more than on TV" - Soenna

"Meeting Chad has been one of the most amazing experience I've ever had. I've been loving Chad since 2005, heard things about him, made dreams on him and meeting him. But not even my most beautiful dream could be compared to what meeting him was. I expected him to be nice. But he went beyond my expectations. By far the sweetest and most humble celebrity I've ever met. He didn't act like a diva, he was really nice and charming and just...normal. He introduced himself to me and my friend saying "I'm Chad", which cracked me up and made me love him more than ever at the same time. He talked to me and my friend for a little while, was surprised when I gave him some presents from people, like he doesn't realize he's this famous guy everyone loves. I mentioned to him a friend of mine that is sick that he had talked to a couple of years ago and he remembered her, which amazed me. Besides that meeting, I also got the chance to see him working on set and I couldn't appreciate him more as actor. He is focused, he is great, he is talented. But in the breaks, he goes back to be a normal guy, like all of us. That night I saw him on set, he talked with all of the fans that were there, about funny stuff but also serious subjects. The trip to go see him was expensive and long. But so worth it. I came back home with the certainty the love I've given to this guy in the latest couple of years is well deserved. Chad is a very talented actor, a great guy, a generous, sweet and very charismatic human being" - Manu9

So i've met Chad three times, but by far the best experience I had with him was September 19, 2007. I was hanging out on set watching them film at UNCW, and i'm friends with a lot of the crew. So they told me that when Chad had a break, he'd come over to me and my friend Alicia. He came over after a little while, and talked to us a bit. it's all kind of a blur but he agreed to take pics with us. I remember him crouching down beside me, and me oh so casually slipping my hand behind his back. I started to slip my hand behind his, and stopped halfway, saying "oh, is this ok?". he laughed and said "yeah. of course absolutely", and put his hand around me. Then after a little while, he was on a break, and something occured to me. so i turned around and he was right there, so i say to him "chad i need you to dispell a rumor for me". he laughs and goes "ok". I say to him "what's this about you having your small intestine removed?", and he says "oh yeah yeah yeah", and proceeds to lift his shirt up and point to the scar on his lower stomach, all the while saying, and i quote "when i was fifteen, i had a football accident and the doctors ****ed me up, and I had to have my small intestine removed". I had recently had surgery on my bowels/intestine that had also gone a little wrong, so I told him about what happened to me. about halfway through my story a PA came to get him, but he just patiently sat there and waited for me to finish. I told him that my doctor had given me an infection with my surgery and he says to me, in a very matter of fact voice, "thus sue!". it was pretty funny! Then, later on that night, He was smoking a cigarette and I came up behind him and was like "Chad, if we're gonna be friends, you can't smoke". he started laughing really hard and goes "yeah, i know. it's a bad habit. i gotta stop".
Oh, and and at some point during the night, I went up to him and was like "Chad, will you do me a favor?", and he's like "what's that?", and I said "will you record the answering maching on my cell?". His face kinda fell a little and he said "you know. I'm actually not allowed to do that. The CW owns my voice". I kinda laughed, and he goes "yeah. sorry". I told him it was ok and i didn't mind.
I was in so much shock the whole night, the chronological order is kind of jumbled in my memory. I can't remember the order in which it all happened.
I was an extra a couple days later, on the 23, and at one point during the night, I was on the phone trying to find Alicia, while trying to drive my wheelchair at the same time, and I looked up and almost ran into Chad. I said "OMG! I am so sorry! I'm a horrible multitasker!" and he goes "no, you're great. you're better than me!". It made me feel so special"

"I have been a Chad fan since Dawson's Creek, but since i lived in california i didn't have a chance of ever meeting him, that is until i moved to nc in late 2005. I knew that i would finally have the chance to meet him but throughout that year 1/2 of living in nc i still had yet to meet him, came close with the 2nd Annual OTH basketball game, but he left right before the game ended. So when i heard about the 3rd OTH b-ball game i knew that i had to meet him and knew exactly where chad would be coming in and leaving at, once i heard he wasnt going to be there i was devestated. During the second half of the charity game i hear fans start screaming and i look over to my right and there comes Chad and Kenzie walking in, my heart skipped a beat! I knew i had to make it happen, i wasn't going to give up meeting him agian so once the charity game ended i ran up and went outside right to where chad came in and waited out there for about 2 hours and it was very hot out! I didn't care if i didn't meet the other cast members agian, i just cared about meeting chad. During the 2 hours i thought maybe chad had already left so every 5 people that walked out i asked if chad was still there and i would check through the side door to see if he was still in there. I was just about to give up when i decided to check by the side door one more time and there i saw chad and kenzie leaving, so i ran back to the back door. Once he came out i tried really hard not to start crying and i asked if i can have a picture because i have been waiting outside and he replied with "Aww. ya'll cheated" in a joking around type. then he said "yeah sure but just make it quick babe." So i got my camera out, he part his arm around me(i thought i was going to die) then once i got my picture i thanked him and told him that he is an amazing actor he said "aww, well thank you!" then i went and talked to kenzie who was the most down to earth sweetheart. I told her that she was so pretty and that i wish her and chad the best of luck and she thanked me and told me that she loved my shirt and stuff like that. We talked for like 2 minutes while chad was talking to Dan. Then Chad and Kenzie said they had to go and it was nice meeting me, so as they start walking toward the car, these group of girls came out of nowhere screaming his name and he replied with "ahh $H*T" and hurried to the car as fast as he can. I laughed. Once i saw that he was gone i was in tears of joy that i finally met him when people told me i was dreaming and i would never meet him. I called my mom sobbing and she just laughed at me. I will never forget that day, for that day was the BEST day of my life" - meggan
