Hunee (Lexi) says: I think these lines describe the cast overall... because they have all gone through displacement but the song as a whole I think really describes what Peyton went through late season 1, early season two and some season three.

Lindsey says: Something about this song just screams Peyton. I think it's the way Rosie Thomas sings it, like you can hear the defeat in her voice, she's just given up. She's been through too much and life has finally broken her. That's Peyton.

Meli5 (Melissa) says: Trouble came from something innocent and she can no longer run from what was produced from the seeds. The "fruit" was just a natural by product of what was planted, and by finally tasting it, it will help her start to heal.

Meli5 (Melissa) says: She'll always use the excuse that she's okay, she's just going through something. And by staying calm she can find her way back to the people she cares about. Although it might take her a while and she's not sure where her heart will lead her - In the end, she knows she can be happy.

KidChinoNaley23 (Megan) says: This song is really beautiful. I've fallen in love with this artist. But anyway, this song reminds me of the end of this last season. When Peyton finally realizes there is an unresolved conflict that she just pushed away... her feelings for Lucas. This song reminds me of what she's feeling now!

belle 1220 (Kelly) says: I think it fits Peyton the best in season 2 when she was experimenting with the drugs and felt that 'everyone leaves.' It can also fit where she is emotionally right now. Her feelings for Lucas are causing her the 'hurt' her best friend and herself in return. What really sold me on this song in the end though was Johnny Cash's vocals.

ale tapia says: I personally believe that this song has written "Brooke" all over it, in here is Brooke's situation in season 2. She was getting poorer but she made everyone believe she was alright and she pretended that her life was "perfect" when it wasn't.

And I wish everyone would go and shut their mouth
I’m not strong enough to deal with this.

ale tapia says: This is because as Brooke is like this popular girl everyone is talking about her and saying things that may not be true and those things crush you and with everyday that goes by you can't stand it anymore.

charminggirl32 says: So I think that this song reflects how Brooke feels about Lucas at times. I think she is always afraid that she is going to lose him or that he will not come after her. And she is frightened that she does not have all of him cause he is always saving Peyton.

KidChinoNaley23 (Megan) says: This song reminds me of Haley in the third season, when Nathan is having second thoughts about their relationship. She makes sure he knows she's going to be there, when he ready.

Bekah says: From the very start of Season 1, I knew Haley would be an amazing character to watch. She was smart, sassy, unwilling to give an inch to compromise her beliefs but also willing to open her heart and mind to new friends, old friends and the prospect of a first love. Her relationship with Nathan became a safe place for her to test her wings, get her feet wet in experiences she feared she would fail at. In his eyes, she was strong. In his eyes, she was beautiful. In her eyes, she became all that he saw. It was never easy, there were tears shed and mistakes made, but by the end of Season 3, as she renews her vows with Nathan and tells him just how brave she feels now, after all that they went through together, she’ll be able to fly, and the sky is their limit.

Pat says: Song reminds me of early Season 1 Nathan, troubled and dealing with his own insecurities and his dad's. Also his mom not being around and him fed up with both and needing an escape.

sweetlavender04 says: I'm normally not a country music person...really, but I thought this song fit season 2 Nathan after Haley left for the tour. I guess it's pretty self-explanatory though because the lyrics sort of mirror how Nathan was feeling at the time.

KidChinoNaley23 (Megan) says: This song reminds me of Nathan in season one when he begins to realize just who he is and how negative and destructive he's become, partly because of his surroundings. He also is realizing his mistakes and Haley gives an ultimatum at the end of season one. It just reminds me of him taking that plunge to become a better person, not only for himself but for Haley. It reminds me of his willingness to change for Haley.

hereivefallen says: Since hearing it on Grey’s last night I cant stop listening to it. I thought it would be fitting for Nathan. It could work for a lot of characters but I just think of him when I play it & how he felt when Haley left.

Susan XG (Susan) says: The song is about how Nathan tries to deal with the expectations that are thrown upon him, specifically in Season 1. How he really just wants to break free of Dan's hold and the demands of basketball. He finds his saving grace in Haley, who in the end, helps him break free.

glazed.over (Wendy) says: I thought that the lyrics were really reminiscent of Rachel's character, in the sense that it seems like she wants to get out of the whole situation with Cooper, but just can't to bring herself to stop. Underneath it all, she's just a vulnerable girl who wants to love and be loved, who puts up fronts to face everyone that she knows. I just thought the lyrics were really suitable for her character.
