Song of the Moment

Patty Griffin- Rain

It’s hard to listen to a hard hard heart
Beating close to mine
Pounding up against the stone and steel
Walls that I won’t climb
Sometimes a hurt is so deep deep deep
You think that you’re gonna drown
Sometimes all I can do is weep weep weep
With all this rain falling down

Strange how hard it rains now
Rows and rows of big dark clouds
When I’m holding on underneath this shroud
Rain

Its hard to know when to give up the fight
Two things you want will just never be right
Its never rained like it has to night before
Now I don’t wanna beg you baby
For something maybe you could never give
I’m not looking for the rest of your life
I just want another chance to live

Strange how hard it rains now
Rows and rows of big dark clouds
When I’m holding on underneath this shroud
Rain

Strange how hard it rains now
Rows and rows of big dark clouds
When I’m holding on underneath this shroud
Rain

Strange how hard it rains now
Rows and rows of big dark clouds
When I’m still alive underneath this shroud
Rain Rain Rain

I'm going to use this post for songs needed and some other things too, like songs we have yet to identify and bands with their upcoming albums.

Songs Needed

The following songs are needed. Some are not released yet, while others are very hard to find. If you have any of these songs, please post or PM me.

If the episode isn't listed, it means all the music for that episode has been found.

Thanks.

OMG, how funny is that opening. Everyone is trying to help us out with 211. LMAOOOO!! Good job. But, looking at your list, Susan, didn't someone have the Evan and Jaron song? I thought I remember someone posting that?

Great new thread. You used my new favorite song of the moment! Jamie, I do think it would be a perfect song for Joie and Bryan to sing as a duet.

Bringing this over from the last thread...

Yes, but when I got the file...Itunes says I don't have access. So, whoever had that song needs to covert it to a MP3, so I can use it!

Thanks for the great new thread Susan!

Yay for the last poll results!

Double yay for making "Rain" by Patty Griffin the song of the moment! I still think that someone needs to write to Mark and make him stick BJL and Bryan Greenberg in a studio until they've finished recording a cover!

Bekah: Thanks so much for sending more music my way. Again, let me know if you want anything else.

Courtesy of Missy, our resident DJ!

Shane Mills- Between Order and Randomness

V1 Where’d the day go? I wonder

When will I implode?

If I don’t get this down on paper real soon

These four walls are closing in

The candle is at the end

And I’ve got melted wax all over

My coffee table

P/C You make the only mess that makes sense

CH Between order and randomness

You bring color to this otherwise blank canvas

And if anything beautiful comes from this--

I’ve seen you… (doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo)

V2 And there’s a scarcity of creativity

In this room right now with just me

I can’t hear you, I can’t hear you

I can’t hear you, I can’t hear you

Filtered through me, filtered through me

Filtered through me, filtered through me

“BR” You know everything inside of me and everything I want to be

I know, I know

You know everything inside of me and everything I want to be

I know, I know

I really like the Shane Mills lyrics. Gah, angsty much?

Ok, I think I saw Teitur live, Lindsey. Or it was another guy with a similar name. Him and his band opened for Jonatha Brooke. If its who i'm thinking of, they are phenomenal. Yup, I did some research and this is the guy I saw over the summer in Central Park. He was such a riot, and totally into talking with the crowd. I remember his song Josephine, but not the one you mentioned. He played a pretty long set if I remember.

<= Is listening to a stream of Joseph Arthur's new single, Can't Exist. It's reallllly good.

I'm reposting my list b/c its totally whacked out that I didn't put The Fire Theft as the artist I discovered because of NH. So I'm changing that one due to my sheer stupidity. AND because "Fallen" wasn't an ending montage song, crap, that was "Reoffender" for WAO, LMAO. I'm so bad today, wtf.
