Ewww!! Brooke and Julian please do me a favour and GTFO!! I cringe watching their scenes
Clay and Quinn are so ridiculous and Quinn is such a hypocrite. Whatever happened to the vintage chick that wanted to live like a hobo and be a small time photographer. Yuck, just go away!! NH bathroom scene was adorable and Nathan proved again that he is by far the sexiest man on this show Haley was the best thing about this episode And if the writers have Nathan call Haley a dork again, I am going to have to kick their asses. That wasn't cute and I don't like it at all!! James Lafferty..... I love you so much, so do me a favour and get the hell away from this show. The character of Nathan has been handled soo, sooo poorly. __________________

Hated this episode, the only thing I liked was the NH scene in the bathroom. The rest was awful. __________________

The professor's athlete son said he wanted a lot of money because they owe him something for his talent. This was the moment when I remembered the quote by great American author Mark Twain, "Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first." I wish One Tree Hill would bring back quotes from the authors for example Lucas said, "T.H. White said; perhaps we all give the best of our hearts uncritically...to those who hardly think about us in return." This is ironic consider tonight's episode focus on the Valentine's Day.

I've always felt anytime you do a Valentine's episode for any show, its best to have different couples at different points in their relationships. Say, one is stable, one is in the chase stage, and one is crumbling. That way a viewer can experience a wide range of emotions that come along with the holiday.
I wish they'd dissolve the Clay/Quinn relationship. It'd help them as characters, give them something to talk to Haley/Nathan about, and if the relationship returns, then it'd carry much more weight, at least in theory. As far as Jamie and whats-her-name goes, I think it'd be better if she wasn't on the same wave length and just wanted to be friends. Jamie has slipped into that very bland annoying wonder-kid role, with no problems or worries. Actually, I find Chuck much more compelling than him at this point, maybe because Chuck reminds me a bit of Tim, a misunderstood supporting character kept around for comedy relief and to play a foil to other characters. Only the show seems invested in exploring Chuck's issues at greater length and Chase works well in the role of propping him up. Ranking the Valentine Couples: 1. Nathan/Haley – Love that Nathan actually pulled off his surprise, stayed coy about it til the end and that she actually fell for it. 2. Mouth/Millie – I go back and forth on these two, but I bought it tonight. 3. Julian/Brooke – The Role Playing was funny when Haley walked in on Grease 2, but this got old fast. 4. Clay/Quinn – I am convinced this guy is only with her for sex. He spent half of tonight talking about her butt. Remember when she was gone and he was recovering? All his discussions with Nat were about his inability to 'switch hit'. I seriously do not see love between the two. I can understand why he's with her, but I don't get it with Quinn. hmmmm Last edited by Serving Size; 02-16-2011 at 02:41 AM |

Um okay, what I can say, pretty bad episode.
The best scene would be probably NH in the bathroom. Brooke and Julian seriously? What the hell you guys will be doing when you get old? Sex is not the most impotant thing in life. Besides it's very gross, I start thinking that Mark has crush on Sophia too But I feel sorry for Paul Johansson for directing it, he is way to good for things like that. Clay and Quinn the same, all he knows about her is that she has great butt and Quinn, whats happened to your dream? (meaning being poor and everything because I for sure think you shouldn't want a diamont necklace). I skip the MM, Chase/Chuck and Jamie/Madison scenes. But I bet their scenes were verry important and interesting... at spoilers source saying that this episode is BJu light and NH heavy! __________________

Pretty boring episode, but better then last week.
Loved Chuck's little song. The boy's got a nice voice, and the song was catchy! The little girl flirting with Jamie in the shop was adorable. Some of the Brooke & Julian scenes made me feel bad for Austin and Sophia, especially Sophia with the outfits they had her wear, but they were still the best thing about the episode in my opinion. Sophia and Austin worked it though and I found their scenes both hilarious and romantic, plus, it doesn't hurt that they've got amazing chemistry either. (imo) The pizza scene was hilarious and I adored the scene with Julian telling her they are ready to adopt. Can't wait to see it. (Though I'm a spoiler whore so I already know what's gonna happen, but still.) The rest of the episode was dull dull dull! I did like City & Color, and Dallas Green is amazing. And while I didn't mind Quinn in the last episode that much or the one before, something happens when she's around Clay. Those two just don't click, they have no chemistry what so ever in my opinion and I'd rather much have Quinn hook up with Alex. And Clay can finally tell his boyfriend Nathan how he feels and they can run off together. The promo next week looks awesome though so I'm hoping for a better episode then this and the one before. |

Totally agree with all of your post. I think James is just doing his time to finally get out and do his thing, whatever it is he chooses to do. He doesn't seem to thrilled about his current story line and it shows in his reaction to everything. Whereas Haley has never really had anything meaty on her own except for last season, James was always pretty much front and center with the basketball, Naley, Dan and the brothers Scott theme. Now he has been reduced and demoted and I really don't blame him for not giving it his all. It really makes me sad for him because I love him and his character. He seems like such a good guy who doesn't get caught up in all the hoopla and won't cause any back stage drama or be a diva and demand more, which I think he has every right to do. |

That was...meh. BJ cracked me up Of course Nate would surprise Hales QC were a bit meh. Professor's son to be recruited by Nate? I dunno. Chase/Chuck: boring. Same for Millie/Mouth. __________________

For some reason, I decided to watch this episode today.
And I have to say, I thought it was good, minus Brooke and Julian (cause they nauseate me and perplex me all at the same time. They just make no sense.) Although Sophia made me crack up/want to cry. She's so talented. But, I ADORED all the Nathan and Haley in this episode, and they are always rather ~meh for me, so I was pleansantly surprised. They were just so well-adjusted, supportive and adorable. So.. functional. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the writers had Haley sort of insinuate that she thought Nathan was cheating. It just seemed completely OOC and really killed the mood for me. Everything else was... Regardless, this show still makes me feel more than any other show ever has. It might be because it was the first show I ever loved, or because I love all the characters, I dunno, but I love that about it. __________________

This show makes it so easy to take aim at it. They're about to start working on a record for how many episodes in a season can occur where complete and total second hand embarrassment is a main feeling when watching. Some of that stuff... Second hand embarrassment is kind, honestly.
Also, I know others have said it this season, but at this point, yikes... It would be cool and respectable if the show let Sophia and Shantel keep their clothes on for the entirety of an episode, for episodes in a row. Multiple, multiple episodes. I get this show has a boy's club mentality and what not, but... Come on. Literally, I know everyone has their favorites at this point, and that some don't necessarily care if their favorites escape whatever ridiculousness is being dished out in any given moment, but legit... It's tragic and ridic, that on top of the lack of quality in scenes, and on top of the no writing that's going on, and on top of the monotonous and repetitive stuff this show has going for it, that it's got them prancing around half naked so often this season. So unfortunate and so pointless. I'd understand if it was necessary to some plot, arc, or story to reduce the girls to half nakedness so often, but it's really not, at all. What is the deal with it? Talk about a show being on empty. Wow. __________________
