You're welcome to catch me up on these 2 characters. I lost interest in One Tree Hill a few years ago, because of what some of you have just recently mentioned in this thread. Nate & Peyton were the biggest reasons for me to watch OTH not getting to see them on screen together is lame to me, cuz I'm not big fan of most the other actors on this show. Hopefully will be caught up on the DVDs that are available of each season by end of summer.

The problem seems to be that there is really nothing to "catch up" on throughout S5 and S6 when it comes to Nathan and Peyton. They had two scenes at the beginning of S5, one where Brooke and Peyton reunited with both Nathan and Haley at their house after the 4 years apart. Then there was a scene where Peyton was forcing Nathan to go to physical therapy after his accident (he fell through a plate glass window and did some kind of damage to his spine and had to re-learn to walk). That was their last scene together and, while it was great to see Peyton get in Nathan's face a bit and see Nathan realize he had to either get his act together or he was going to lose everything, I don't think it's sustained any of us for the last, what, 42 episodes (17 after the premiere in S5 and 25 this past season, right?)

There was plenty of great opportunities for the NP friendship to re-emerge but, sadly, it never did.

Kind of breaks my heart that they never got a goodbye. They had such potential to be a really solid friendship on this show - they can get away with teasing each other all the time, and so much more.

Look at how she's looking at him.

That episode is one of my favourites, mostly because of NP.

You're right, though. They didn't. I guess I could see why, because LP weren't "technically" leaving their lives and friends behind. Not that we know of anyway. But BP kinda got a "good-bye" scene. Not even LH got a good-bye scene though and, of all the friendships, there's was the longest. Seriously, OTH bums me out more than anything anymore.

I do love that look though.

She almost seems longing, almost as if to say, "This is what we should have had. What we could have had given the chance." On the one hand, she wanted Haley and Nathan both to be happy and she saw that they were definitely happy together. Still, I think a part of her saw what she missed out on.

That makes me think of later on in the episode, when she tells him he's become the guy she always knew he could be. And though I kind of like the volatile aspect of their relationship, I also wish he could have been that guy for her.

hi! i just want to say i think they've got tons of chemistry together...

it's too bad they don't even have 'friendshippy' scenes in the past seasons. i'm sure they'd still shine in those types of scenes.

i remember seeing some Hilarie-James caps from TRL (was it? i'm not sure, sorry), but those were taken years ago...

Actually, the episode of TRL that they appeared in together is on the last page. The images from that episode are super adorable. I'll go find some and post them when I have more time. But I don't think they're have been BTS of Hil/James recently either.

In the TRL opening? Yeah, they were so cute. It's too bad that at all the dances they were both at, and all the weddings, that they never danced once.

It would have been great for them to share an on-screen dance.
