Beth, I agree. Peyton could need some Nathan goodness at this point. They bring each other up imo.

Esp after they broke up; it was pretty clear they gave each other great advice.

I think it was definately easier for them to see each other more clearly after they split. I think they were so tied up in the personas of Peyton Sawyer and Nathan Scott when they were together that the actual people behind them got lost. After that, though, they always understood each other and everything between them came with such ease. They laughed and smiled together and everything about them was good.

And I think she felt completely entitled to her anger as someone who was more than just Nathan's friend. It may not have been "romantic" but their bond was something more than simple friendship at the end of S2/beginning of S3. She went through all the hardship with him after his accident. She was there at the hospital when he woke up. She helped him with the decision of whether or not he should give Dan, and his family, a second chance. She helped him pack up the apartment and move out.

I think, honestly, if Haley had not told Peyton she was going to fight for Nate during the FBD, Nathan and Peyton may have found their way back to one another.

It's no secret that I'm an LPer, but I would not have been opposed to NP getting back together in s3. I really thought Mark was gonna go there for a few episodes and then.....nothing.

after Season 1, IMO, Nathan and Peyton were on totally different levels. Season 1 everyone was so isolated. Lucas wasn't on the team, Haley wasn't in that crowd. And Nathan had no way of getting out from Dan's control

Even though it wasn't really an NP scene, I loved what Nathan said to Lucas in 6.22. "As worried as you are, just think about how scared she is."

That whole LN conversation was really great. I think Nathan was the first person to really say anything about the way Peyton must be feeling about everything. I just wish it could have been said in an NP scene, but at this point I'll take what I can get.

I'm much the same because, at this point, just hearing Nathan talk about Peyton makes me NP lovin' little heart somewhat happy. Though, I disliked that he acts a little disconnected from the whole thing. I hate that he's written like he doesn't care at all. Especially when Peyton wheeled him into the hospital and forced him to go to physical therapy at the beginning of S5. She pushed him to want to get better. And now that she's in a bad place, all the writers have Nathan doing is tending to Lucas' needs. I understand it becaue they're brothers and Peyton has all the girls but...I think Peyton could benefit from the same advice Nathan has to offer Lucas, especially considering that he's been in a situation where the life of his unborn child was in danger (after Haley was hit by the car).

mine too. it really shows how deep our love for neyton goes. even though we didn't got a scene with the two of them in like FOREVER, we still come here and talk about them. It's really incredible and i love you all for commenting and not giving up hope and keeping neyton alive!

I am so angry that Nathan still didn't get a chance to be there for peyton and give her the advide and help he has to offer. i dont get it. it really feels like he doesn't care at all and that's just a slap in the face for every neyton lover
