I would rather kick Mark in the shins than be sad, but alas...not at all possible. I think James and Hil should kick him for sure.

I don't think it'd be so bad if NP weren't in the same places, at the same times but not interacting. Like whenever Nathan comes to the house. It's happened twice that I recall. The first time, Peyton was asleep (the night he inadvertantly called her a superhero) and then not long he showed up at Luke's bedroom door to get him and Peyton was just in the other room. He couldn't have used the front door and said, "Hey Peyton. How are you?" Seriously!

It's just plain frustrating.

I'm done ranting now.

But Nathan was Peyton's first, and Peyton was the girl he'd always have feelings for. There's no denying that and Mark can't bury it no matter how hard he tries.

Peyton never said it that way, but I think she may have felt that a little.

And I think she felt completely entitled to her anger as someone who was more than just Nathan's friend. It may not have been "romantic" but their bond was something more than simple friendship at the end of S2/beginning of S3. She went through all the hardship with him after his accident. She was there at the hospital when he woke up. She helped him with the decision of whether or not he should give Dan, and his family, a second chance. She helped him pack up the apartment and move out.

I think, honestly, if Haley had not told Peyton she was going to fight for Nate during the FBD, Nathan and Peyton may have found their way back to one another.

Me too.

The show has become so focalized. LP and N/H/J and Brooke and Sam. If people aren't related by blood or marriage, then we don't see them together as much. I think the friendships get overlooked a lot, especially the little things that made them so special. And NP has been completely wiped off the map and I think that's sad because they were amazing.

Peyton's been down lately and I keep thinking, "She and Nathan could always have a good laugh. Where is he now?" He's a way a lot but he's been there for Lucas. I think that's what Peyton needs. A healthy dose of Nathan in her life. I would go as far as to say she needs his friendship as much now as she does Brooke's and Haley's. She needs his support as much as he needed her's back at the beginning of S5 and she gave it without him saying a word. That's the NP I know. That's all I want to see. Nate being there for her like we all know he would be.
