They probably tested the two of them out together at some point if that makes sense.

Not sure, since they definitely dropped some scenes with Pulian to make that happen. Plus Chad leaving was known by that time, so I'm wouldn't be surprised that they changed some of the storylines to make that work. Plus he wasn't meant to be around for that long and Brooke/Owen's storyline was meant to go on for longer.

I am not sure if Brooke/Owen were going to last, even though I did like them. It could be they didn't know yet and changed things around when certain things happened.
