Well it definitely worked because I didn't like Haley this season at all even if I love Haley/Chris.

^ He sneaking around and acting like she was having an affair is what made her unlikable to me. lol Haley made matters so much more worst by the way she handled the situation....

Right from the beginning she acted like she was cheating and it upset me because Nathan was the one who pushed Haley to show her talent to the world, and to really hear her sing. So I hate how season 2 wanted to change all of that.

To push the poor Nathan narrative. It didn't make any sense, but Mark didn't care about that, he cared about making Nathan the victim and probably punishing Joy.

I agree, that was my issue with the storyline.
Why in the heck was Haley hiding that she was singing? Hiding emails, making Brooke lie for her... That's all stuff you do when you are having an actual affair....

And than she allowed Chris to kiss her twice with no resistance.

Those are the reasons right there I could not relate to Haley in this storyline.

It had NOTHING to do with her following her dreams, it had to do with the fact of how she was acting and making stuff worst for no reason.

I loved Haley/Chris but her lying after lie and lie is what drove me mad because it wasn't needed.

I agree but HALEY didn't make it seem that way. She made it seem like she was having an affair.

She kept cancelling stuff with Nathan and than Nathan found out about the kisses and the email exchanges. ANYONE would have thought their significant other was cheating for weeks if they were Nathan in that situation.

For some viewers, of course it's different since we know but for Nathan, he didn't see that.

And to be honest, even I was questioning Haley feelings for Chris at the time...

That's why we can see things different.

FOR ME! That's how I saw it, for you, you did not see it.

And I explained my reasons why I saw it that way. Haley could've handled the whole thing better.

In taking the whole Nathan factor out, I really enjoyed the Haley/Chris relationship even more than Nathan/Haley relationship in season 2, clearly.
