"I told Chad and Sophia this and I’ll tell you: I would never suggest that they “hide” their relationship – real life will always be more important than fictional drama – but I would never write to it either. I think Brooke and Lucas have roads to drive yet. We’ll drive them if the characters’ lives deem that we do – not to complement the actors’ lives. They get that."

Commonly used Brooke/Lucas Thread terms

Mary Sue -- a character who is the center of every storyline, even those that logically should not involve her. She varies in personality but can be easily marked by the fact that all the male characters will be enamored with her at some point. The other female characters inevitably become her cheerleaders as their characters are destroyed to make her look better, raising her to a status which she least deserves.
Seyton -- A term coined by the great recappers over at TWOP which gives Peyton her accurate and commonly used nickname, a homonym of Satan.
Pukeass -- A variation of the joining of Lucas and Peyton's names. Originally Pucas, but altered because Lucas is an ass and watching them together makes us puke.
Canon -- The sequence of events that occur on the actual show.

UC (Couples) -- UC is short for unconvential. It essentially refers to a viewpoint not shared by the writers of the show or a large portion of the fandom. It is most commonly used in the term "Unconvential Couples", which are couples that will most likely never be considered by the writers of the show. Fans of UC couples enjoy looking for subtext and shared chemistry.

UST -- UST stands for Unresolved Sexual Tension, something that Brooke and Lucas currently have in spades. If they are ever allowed to form an actual relationship I think you can drop the U...but I'm not sure.

Season One sucked. Season Two was much better. Season One will no longer be observed by the participants of this thread. Unless they're writing a Virtual Season One with Brooke/Lucas as the main love story, as they should be.

[The Goodbye Girl]

"The one in the finale of S2...Even though Brooke didn't say she loved Lucas back, you could tell she wanted to, but she didn't want to become emotionally attached to him because she was leaving. That kiss though, they both were so passionate, you could tell Lucas had been waiting forever for that exact moment, and Brooke realized at that moment who she was meant to be with. It's a new beginning for them, they've both grown up so much and are now ready to handle a true steady relationship."

“My favorite kiss is the one in 223 "The leavers Dance" Mostly because its the first Real kiss between them. What I mean by that is the first time Lucas kisses her, having real and strong feelings for her. Instead of just being with her to "run away", "hide" from Peyton. Its the kiss that I call the "confession kiss" because after months of hiding his feelings for her, dropping hints here and there, and confusing her, he finally admits to her that he wants to be with her more than friends. And even though that shocked and scared her, prompting to her leave, know she knows how he feels, and when she's ready, she'll comeback to him. Plus, I loved how he pulled her to him and trapped her upper lip . Oh and the look they give each other after she pulls away.”

"I liked this kiss because she had just told him that she was insecure. The way he kissed her in the back of that car and pulled her close, just made her feel like she was in the safest place in the entire world. And even though at the time we were led to believe that he had these lingering feelings for Peyton, you don't kiss someone like that if you don't really care about them. The stars and the fogged up glass in the background just provided beautiful contrast to the outlines of their faces. It is my favorite kiss of BL and my favorite on-screen kiss of all time."

"Okay, so what I loved about their first kiss was not just how hot, sexy, and passionate it was...but how unconventional it was. Usually first kisses for couples are very sweet and cute and all that hooplah. It's usually driven by emotions of longing...there's always something significant leading up to it. With BL, it was the total opposite. Honestly, there was nothing romantic about BL's first kiss...it was totally lust filled and sexually charged, but again, that's what I loved. People looked at that kiss and were deceived. They thought it was just gonna be a little fling, but it totally inspired the great love affair that is BL."

“I think one of the most heart-warming kisses was the one on the stoop. Although, Lucas later goes and does some pretty ass things, this scene just reminded you why you loved Brooke and Lucas together. She was insecure, worried, she told the truth. He smiled, cared for her, and listened to her deeply. I’m glad that unlike some couples, Brooke admitted how she felt, and they could be honest with each other. Of course, for the time being. How he gently held her cheek and they went forehead to forehead completed the scene during their kiss. “It’s just a forehead kiss, I know. But it was really the “FIRST” kiss that Brooke and Lucas shared. They had just shared secrets in the dark and Lucas had realized that he was “clearly wrong” about Brooke, and that was totally sweet. This is the scene that I realized, realized that I wanted these two together in the end. So perfect for one another! And when she leaned in and planted that kiss on his cheek, it totally made me giddy. Especially how he watched her walk away, later on.”
