I am in the middle of a re-watch too! Unfortunately I am at the part of season 4 where Chase is introduced. There isn't even anything wrong with him, he just isn't Lucas, so I cannot take him seriously for Brooke.

Felt the same way. I never liked Brooke with anyone else as much as Lucas.
