Lucas didn't understand why Brooke was behaving the way she was & Peyton's confession is what triggered it all. If Lucas had known about it, he would have got why Brooke was so emotional & the two would have been able to talk about it properly

Plus, I think it would have changed his opinion on Peyton too....

Honestly.....she knew what was going with Brooke the whole time & sat there listening to Lucas talk about their breakup trying to figure out what had happened & how he could get her back......I definitely think Lucas wouldn't have been happy if he found out the truth at that time.
