I haven't been on the OTH Board in eleven years. It's too bad it isn't as active as it used to be.

My first TV death happened when I was 12 as well; but it wasn't a main character. Just a one-time guest star.

I think it was always inevitable that it wouldn't remain as active as it was.

I think first TV deaths are always bound to be hard, especially if you're young.

That first TV death was so rough. Even though that character only appeared in one episode, the character they were friends with (a main character) had such a gripping grief scene it brought me to tears. At twelve years old, it had been triggering and hard to watch. 21 years later, I'd imagine it would still be hard to watch. It was so raw, almost graphic and too adult for a family-oriented show if that makes sense.

Yeah, the OTH Board was so active back in 2007. I don't even know where the people I spoke to on here back then are. It would make sense the board kind of died down after the show ended.

But your username is certainly familiar.

Added: Leigh, do you know where the Brucas thread is? I can't find it and I went back six pages. That wouldn't have happened back in '07.

Funny thing, when I first saw Prue's death on Charmed, it was the second episode I had ever watched, and the first she was barely in because her character turned into a dog for the episode (to allow Shannen time to prep for the next episode, which she was directing). I hardly knew her, and there was so much of her that I hadn't seen in the form of the first two seasons and most of the third, but I was crushed. It doesn't take much to get attached to a character. It wasn't the first TV death I had seen, but I don't think I really understood how permanent it was until Prue. I still struggle through that episode now. That one and her funeral episodes. When you're a child, reactions can be bigger.

Tbh I'm kind of glad it's died down from that. Not sure I would have been able to manage it.

Strange, because I wasn't around then. Didn't actually first watch the show until around 2015.

It's probably on the second page I think it was there earlier. Unless it's been deleted again, but I can't see why it would be.

Yeah, I'll look on the second or third page again, but I did not see it.
