ITA! IMO even if she's on in only a couple scenes she completely steals the show! I think the OTH folks realize that and are saving her best scenes for the last couple of episode this season--holding her back now, but when we get an all haley episode people are gonna be like "WOW where did that come from?!" lol

ITA with all of you. we still know so little about haley which is why the oth writers need to cook up a storyline for her. and im positive that it's going to be a very promising one.

i love BJL and it's totally not fair how every single one of the other characters have been developed and explored except for haley! i mean even jake got a story before her, and he's a guest star, while haley is even before sophia bush in the credits, and brooke gets a storyline but not haley!!! *so very pissed off right now* grrr....

Yeah it really irks me how they ignore BJL. Stupid writers and the WB. I kept posting that we want to see more Haley/BJL on the WB's feedback thing, but it kept getting bumped down with all the B/L/P and chad is hot crap. Ah oh well. I really wish they would let BJL shine, she deserves it so much.

OT:Hey, something cool happened today. I was at Universal City Walk and I was looking around Hot Topic for a Dashboard Confessional shirt, when out of know where I see the Green Eggs and Ham t-shirt BJL wore on TRL! I haaaddd to have it so I bought it hehe. It made me happy [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] Anyways lol yeah, I thought I'd share!

The only reason I can think of for Bethany only being in one pic in Teen People is that maybe she was sick or had other obligations. She's probably aware of the fact that OTH isn't using her as much as they should...

I'm totally with you Katie and Becca. Haley's always been treated as part of either Lucas or Nathan. I would like to see Haley developed independently too. Give her issues of her own that are not related to Nathan or Lucas and see if they will help her. I know Nathan would b/c he already has. Let's see if Lucas can act like a true friend too.

As much as I wish Haley would get her own storyline, I'm also afraid I'll end up eating my words. TPTB have failed to convince me that they know how to tell a story, and I don't have much faith that Haley's storyline(s) will be written any better than the others' by the time she gets her turn. It's bad enough I saw little of Haley the past months, but I was even more disconcerted by the writing in general, or should I say lack thereof. There's so much "drama", yet none of that touches me because they haven't given me any reason to care. We're 2/3 into the season and these characters don't make any more sense than they did at the beginning. In Haley's case, they're d@mn lucky they have Joie, because with a lesser actor, the character would be at best marginally more interesting than Mouth. That's how thin the writing is.

I keep wondering if it's my fault I expected better. But one thing I know for sure is that they can't rely on these "dramas" and "crises" as if they're the monster of the week to be dealt with and discarded. It will KILL the show. Daytime dramas may get laughed at for all the soap opera, but at least they take the TIME to develop and explore the storylines (used to anyway) so the viewers can become emotionally involved. With OTH on the other hand, I can't take any of the developments seriously because there's a good chance something will happen in the very next episode that will make a mockery out of it. It purports to be "deep" (the characters sure do), yet none of the events carries any weight. And I don't think they have any idea how seriously this is undermining the credibility of the show.

I can't think of anything to say to your post Scherra except that you have just said all that I've been thinking and feeling...The show has a great cast and such an interesting premise, and they are ruining it with the thin writing and terrible direction of the plot line. This isn't Angel where a new monster pops up every week and you move on from there. That is exactly how they are treating it though, but with even LESS continuity...I mean the characters seem to learn nothing from each crisis, you are so right.

Which brings me around to my original reason for posting. I was going to say that I'm so disillusioned with OTH right now, anyone want to start obsessing over Michelle/Danny with me like we did last break LOL. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

I need to give this show a break, until it really starts to deserve my attention. Of course, I'm a loser and I won't be able to hold to that assertion but I really really really want to! [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]
