hahahaha so true. I guess they figured, they couldn't not have him in the show and they couldn't do a 20 year time jump.

Like maybe attempt killing Keith, but not really kill him. That would have made the 4 years in prison make a tiny bit more sense.

It wouldn't, attempted murder is considered to be worse than murder in most countries due to intent.
