I've actually been wanting to end for a few seasons now, as I think some of us can agree the writing had been subpar.
However... I also believe that this year was the exception to it. The writing felt old-school, like the OTH I fell in love with and stayed invested in for all those years. Had the writing been like that in S7-S8...I may have actually felt differently. But you know what they say. All chapters of our life have to end sometime. And this show has had nearly a decade of chapters that we can all look back on and for all fanbases, smile about.  |

very well said. Seasons 7 and 8 gave us every reason to not want a Season 9 and want to be done with OTH. But with the writing and the actors on board with amazing story lines, it's been hard to let it go. Season 9 really reminded us of why we got so passionate about this show in the first place and how we'll follow these actors to their next projects and probably their careers

idk. i'd love to say i'm sad it's ending and i'll miss it and the show changed my life. but, in the end, for a few seasons, it was a fun guilty pleasure soap that towards the end, i finding myself hating to love it, vs. loving to hate it. i am interested to see how they'll end it. i feel like the last 3 seasons have had endings appropriate enough to tie the series up.

we love to hate it and sometimes hate to love it. it's apart of us. I think everyone involved on this board especially, can say they will take something from this entire show with them for the rest of their lives. I have lifelong friends that I made at a charity game in 2007 and we still talk like no time has passed!

I agree. The writing has been excellent this year! Except a few glitches of course, but hey, others shows too!

a few glitches in one season is amazing. Every season has it's hiccups, for this season, I can't think of anything except the amazing stuff we've gotten

its been apart of my life for 9 years wether its been good or bad OTH is going to go down as one of my ultimate fav tv shows along with Gilmore Girls. i think il start crying from start to finish i dont want to say goodbye to tree hill but the time has come. BL 4eva!
