[Episode Discussion] 9x05 - "The Killing Moon"
9x05 -The Killing Moon [Last Season] Fifth episode of the last season of the show. NATHAN IS MISSING AND HALEY FEARS THE WORST - As Quinn (Shantel VanSanten) distracts Jamie (Jackson Brundage), Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) searches for Nathan (James Lafferty). Clay (Robert Buckley) finally gets answers about his condition. Meanwhile, Julian (Austin Nichols) attempts to get back to a normal life, while Brooke (Sophia Bush) tries to give Tara (guest-star Chelsea Kane "Dancing with the Stars") a chance. Lee Norris, Lisa Goldstein, Stephen Colletti, Tyler Hilton and Paul Johansson also star. Rules: 1. No bashing of any characters/actors/writers 2. Please be respectful of eachother's opinion. First episode I'm actually excited about watching this season... I really miss Nathan though

My expectations are still low because this is OTH, lol...but already just from the promo & sneak peek I'm enjoying what Haley is getting & Joy rocks it so

So I watched it.
Haley/Dan & Haley/Chris were once again the highlights. Haley/Joy pawns. Oh look Chuck, a kid I don't care about when poor Lydia we see her shadow and her as a doll. Literally. Shame cause she's so darn cute. I can honestly say if Joy/Haley wasn't getting quality material, I would have not tuned in at all this season. This season is just Mark's excuse to give more scenes to Stephen/Chase and let him play with his real life girlfriend. Though it has given Haley some quality and we get to see Dan, Chris (only good in scenes with H), Lucas and

Oh and did I mention Joy/Haley pawns? I did? Well it bears repeating. That is all. __________________

Dan was awesome!
 He is the only character who continues to entice me. Okay, I am a little curious about Clay. I did enjoy his scenes (the ones without Quinn); the little boy was cute.Everything else in this episode was drab, especially Julian's guilt and the "Not Alex" girl! Seriously, enough with the Chase and Chuck scenes (OMG, UGH.) Chris Keller deserves better storylines than this. I'd appreciate if the show stopped trying to make Jamie adorable and Quinn sexy. No depth. Point of inquiry, not really: Haley turns on the faucets, then proceeds to speak on the phone on her bed by the door. Like ... really?!  |
