I was glad that Keith is no longer pining away for Karen and looking else where. And I loved seeing Karen getting some screentime. Although I liked her and Peyton's dad and would have liked to see more of it.

I can't think of enough ways to say AMEN SISTER! If Brooke ever went down that road again with someone that a.) didn't love her in the least and b.) cheated on her with her best friend, I'd lose all the respect I'm slowly gaining for her in an instant. All BL did for Brooke was make her look pathetic, needy and lame.

Can I get a WORD? Seeing Brooke like that was just....in plain terms I just never want it to happen again. I like her bubbly, quirky personality and to mix herself up with Lucas again...to set herself up for that heartbreak that will inevitably come, it would flat out suck. It could just also be that I despise Lucas with a deep, fiery passion. Brooke deserves so much better. At least someone who won't give into temptation and cheat on her. In my mind, after the events of last season, there's just no way for Lucas to salvage himself. The character that he was in the beginning of last season is now dead to me and will most likely never resurface. Quite a shame if you ask me.

I so agree about Brooke/Lucas. Please, never again! Brooke needs to move forward not ten feet backwards. I don't care about any chemistry between C/S. B/L is bad, bad news.

It's about the fact that Brooke's WHOLE story last year was about chasing and mooning and mourning a guy that not only didn't love her (and he SO did not love her) but didn't even respect her either. How pathetic is that? That is like...I don't even have the words. And you can't come back from that. You can't come back from someone treating like you're less than human. Lucas can't be the one that heals this hurt he caused because then it'll seem like all of Brooke's worth is tied up in Lucas. And that would kill the character for me.

Mostly because Lucas is a terd and anybody who bases any kind of self-worth on how he feels about them is unworthy of my support.[/color]

See Mal, this is why I love you. And I couldn't agree more with your opinion. I really just feel that the writers possibly pairing BL up is a BAD idea. I mean, bad in the utmost context of the word. This pairing would be nothing but unhealthy. And I know there are a ton of BL fans in here and I'm sorry if I'm upsetting you, but it's just my take on the opinion. I can't even bear to watch Lucas scenes anymore. They make me cringe. And the whole Lucas/Anna thing tonight...I needed a barf bag and a restraint to keep me from reaching for the remote and changing the channel. PLEASE, I don't want a repeat of season 1.

So/so episode. I actually liked the Mouth/Fergie/Skills thing. Skills was funny about the creepy looking turtle. Absolutely HATE Lucas/Anna. Lucas made the creepy face too much, and I hated that they showed them looking at the pictures. *gags* Loved Peyton cofessing. It was the only part of the show that felt real. I'm starting to like Felix/Brooke. I liked that part at the end, when Tim came home with Nathan/Haley, and he said "I'll guess I'll get going," And Nathan offered a video game. No Dan/Deb. They make the show interesting. Didn't like Keith/ET girl. And I'm starting to like Andy/Karen.

ETA: Did anyone else notice they didn't do the "Previously on One Tree Hill"?

I have to say I am really disappointed. I lost interest halfway through it. And I have to agree with the other posters that say Anna looks way too old to be the little sister or to even be in high school.
And were was BJL- she was on for like, less than a minute. That should have been a dare, someone go find Haley.

~DropsofJupiter~, that was a great articulate post. I love Brooke and I do not want her to get into that unhealthy relationship again. As a woman, I would find that demeaning. Lucas is a terd. I'm still mad that he wrote a letter addressed to both Brooke and Peyton. Didn't the a** even think that the letter could bring up a lot of hurt between two friends who were trying to get past that awful triangle?

Back to this episode, yeah, it was the worst of the season by far. I missed a few last season, so I can't judge it as the worst ever but it was not rewatchable at all. Did Mark really write it? Disappointing.

What did Brooke say in the promo for next week? She said something to Peyton in class? I watched it three times but I still could not figure it out. Also, was that an estate sale at Brooke's? It looked like her house.

I thought it was a terrific episode. It's nice to see them balancing the drama (ie -Peyton's confessional) with humor. It's clear to me that there is a lot of drama brewing (Anna/Lucas/Felix, Keith/Deb/Karen, Brooke/Felix, Peyton/cocaine), but instead of beating people over the head with it, they are stretching it out.

Mouth was by far my favorite part of the episode... there is so much potential for his character, I hope the powers that be will agree and show him every week. At the end, I was so hoping that Brooke would kiss him, and you could tell he was kind of hoping too, haha!

I didn't love the epi but I didn't hate it either. I liked the Brooke/Felix just because I love Brooke with anything. Of course the Rivercourt guys are amazing. Skills is by far by favorite he is hilarious. I did not see him being afaird of animals, that was cute. And Tim, of course is so lovable with his made up invitation .

Everything else sucked. So boring there was not enough Haley and I don't care about Peyton's pity party so that wasn't intersting. Nathan being a jerk was stupid and Keith, Karen, Andy, Jules, Lucas, and Anna was a waste of time I could have been doing homework.

Horrible episode!!!!

Good:

-Brooke (as usual)
-Rivercourt guys

Bad:

-everything else. This episode showed exactly why the season has been terrible. Excluding Felix, there is absolutely no conflict at all with any of the teens. None!!! It's ridiculous. I don't but that Brroke/Haley/Peyton are bestest best friends in the world.

-I don't but that the RC guys suddenly get along famously with the non RC guys

I feel like I'm in Candyland watching ths show this year. There's no substance. I don't want to see the RC guys all buddy with Nathan, Tim, etc. I don't want to see Brooke friends with Haley. I don't want to see Lucas and Nathan as bestest buddies in the world. It's boring!

Put the RC guys back on the court, back with Lucas and Haey (I won't even get into Haley right now).

I want to see stuff like last year where Brooke went to the Rivercourt, despite being the "enemy" to watch Lucas play basketball.

I want to see basketball.

I want to see drama.

Stop making them all buddies!

[color=royal blue]Okay I'm liking the episode so far...but mind you this will probably be a progressive post (as in I'll write it as I watch.)

1.) Loved the N/H hand-holding and just their couple-ness in general.

I love that he totally defered to her on the idea of 'dare night'. She was in so he was in and I have a feeling should she had said she was out, he would have been out too.

Love the looks they shared at the table.

Loved that JealousNathan is alive and well. That look that he gave Felix when her walked a little too close to Haley when he passed him at the lockers was priceless.

And the small minute (make is BIGGER dammit!) kiss at the end was kinda sweet.

2.) The Felix/Lucas squint off was one of those priceless moments of OTH history. I fell off of my couch from laughing. I don't know if it was intended but damn...funniest. moment. ever.



3.) I love the Tim, don't get me wrong, but his whiny "Wanna do it Nate?!" in a room full of their friends sitting quietly around a table was kinda psycho.

4.) "You talk a big game new booty but we bout to light your ass up" BWHAHAHA! Awesome line.

5.) CMM in a bra...yeah not impressed.

6.)Maria can't act. Seriously.

7.) The Rivercourt dudes were a bright spot. I think I'm totally vibing on Skillz, even when he sent my baby Mouth into get a hit with his head in the batting cage.

8.) I'm sorry but Felix slays me. And I TOTALLY dig his dynamic with Brooke. Brooke needs someone who gives as good as he gets.

---"Wow. You totally exposed me. Seriously, I'm emotionally naked." Omigosh! Classic.

---When Brooke slapped at Felix's hands as he lowered her into the grave was a highlight for me. She is so totally going to fall for him.

9.) Imagine my surprise to see a shirtless Nathan in this episode. Not because it's a rarity but because my so-called FRIENDS (you know who you are!) failed to mention this one tiny little HUGE detail to me while describing the episode. I'm sorry, I know there has been many a' bitchin been done about this episode but no episode that includes James Lafferty in a state of undress is bad in my eyes. They could show 49 minutes of fly-fishing and then just one moment of Nathan without a shirt and the episode is golden for me.

Btw, Brett's delivery of the "Shuuut up. I'm concentrating." Cracked. me. up.

10.) Er, Anna...er.

11.) Nathan and Tim in the those outfits...
It was so funny but there was also something very VERY disturbing about it.

And I don't know how better to example that Nathan is still as ass-y as he's always been (except with Haley) then to point out the Tim scene, oh and the fact that his instinct was to beat Felix up. I don't mind his assiness, it's part of his charm. But I do mind all the griping that gets done in these threads that Nathan has changed into somebody else.

Uh, no he hasn't.

12.) Mouth and the guys at the karaoke bar was just hysterical but I have to say the biggest laugh I had out of the whole show was Peyton and Haley getting hit with those balls. Oh god....just thinking about it now is making me snort-laugh. I keep going back and watching it.

13.) Wow. Hil made me cry. That Peyton scene was very powerful.

14.) It's just wrong that I was made to be all emotional and cry-ie at the Peyton scene and then the very next scene with Nate and Tim had me busting a gut.

--"Do I miss hanging out with you? Yes. Do I miss you saying things like 'Tim time'? No.

15.) The girls won because GIRLS RULE! And I know what you all are thinking....that the girls didn't really win because Lucas had a dare hiding in his pocket so to speak. But we all know that Lucas is really a girl at heart. What self-repecting male would sit in his room pensively stroking the picture of some chick he just met? One with no gnads I tell ya.

--BTW, Haley's little victory dance was cracking my ***** up!

16.) Loved the song at the end.

And now for the bad..
--I never thought I'd be one of these people because I really do want a well-balanced show but the adult storylines (except for the very end of the Karen/Andy scene and I'm only discounting it on the part of Andy's total foxitude) brought the show down imo.
--Not enough N/H, come on. Don't even *think* that the heavy hand used with them during the first 3 episodes of this season makes up for the total lack of attention given to them over the course of last season.
--Definitely not enough Haley! Hello. This was just shameful. Just shameful.
--I couldn't give a wet bat dropping about the character of Anna and I never will.[/color]

Wow... I must be one of the few people who genuinely enjoyed this episode! I mean, in every season you need a few episodes that are just fun!

Last season you had "Every Night is Another Story", and "What is and What Should Never Be" (Maybe not right ep name? The one with the boytoy auction)

I loved that they gave the rivercourt guys some fun... and I really like that in light of Felix, everyone seems to be hanging out again.

BTW, I am a HUGE Anna/Lucas fan... that was too perfect! I also think it's really cool that Anna and Felix are siblings, because... if you wanted drama, you can count on it soon ensueing.

The Biggest thing... Karen and the teacher guy! SWEET!!! The dude is like... I dunno, but he's awesome! He's sweet, sexy accent, sexy altogether! And Karen was having so much fun with him, it made me such a shipper! I mean, I've been a shipper since I first saw these two together, but it was perfect!

The Felix/Brooke interaction... WOW! Lol... I can't help but be a shipper... She really has met her match! I'm also a Haley/Felix shipper... but the chemestry for F/B is perfect!

you know last night i was laughing so much at this episode. i thought it was funny, but very juvenile. and then i realized i was watching "one tree hill" a show that i couldn't miss at all, last year. and now its kinda just hanging by a thread. i mean, wheres the drama? so far all it is, is a comedy and tim doing stupid stuff.

last nights episode seemed hokey, and was, but it just shows you that the show is going on the lighter side, and apparently the more predictable. i mean come on, raise your hand if you seriously didn't think felix and anna weren't related? i knew from the first promo.

there was alot of potential in the past few episodes involving brooke and peyton with the drugs and the money issues. but, it went in a different direction. peyton confessed, but does that mean shes done? was that really a good idea? i mean, i was so excited when i saw her potentially do the line of coke. i was like "about time!" but hopefully that won't end. its the only drama this show has literally seen since it premiered. and im not counting the naley marraige, dont get me started on that, just pointless.

what oth has a problem with is not being able to have a light show with drama mixed in, right now its like one or the other. they need to find a balance. and stop demeaning the characters to junior highish pranks. what is this, 90210?!
