1x06 - Every Night Is Another Story
October 28th, 2003

When Whitey throws Lucas and Nathan off the bus due to their misconduct on the basketball court, not only does it leave the two brothers stranded 30 miles from home, but they encounter a carload of punks who threaten them with a gun. Injured during the game, Brooke needs Peyton to drive her home and in, an unlikely turn of events, Peyton asks Haley for help. Meanwhile, Karen and Keith attend a business function and tempers flare when Dan and Deb are seated at their table.

The funniest episode, to day.

"Answer the question Brooke."

"What's your name....Let's call you...Brooke"

It really was a topsy turvy episode that really needed to happen. Peyton and Haley felt like they were on opposite sides of the planet. But they really weren't. But Brooke bought up a valid point, after she sobered up from the pain killers. "You don't think you'll actually be friends tomorrow." They were stuck in this space where they had full trust in each other and acted like they were friends and known each other for years. But then, as Brooke called it, Monday morning, they locked eyes across the way and that was it. Like the previous night never happened.

Then Nathan and Lucas. What a monumental moment for them. Lucas thought he had the bad side of Dan and Nathan had the charmed life. But it wasn't what Lucas thought at all. Nathan was the one who really knew Lucas was the lucky one. It was all roses on the outside. But once you get on the outside, nothing is never as it seems.

I have no idea why, but this episode is special to me, maybe because it was the first episode i saw on TV.

It's a classic: "Let's call youuuu Brooke".

Brooke being high on painkillers is nothing but hilarious stuff.

[Peyton gives her a look] "She named me Brooke"

really funny since Joy auditioned for Brooke and Haley when they reauditioned Haley and wrote Brooke's character.

Joy will always be Haley and Sophia will always be Brooke.

I can't picture Joy as Brooke...or Sophia as Haley.

what a great first episode to see!

the first time i watched it i was obsessed with it, it was so good.

joy in bring it on 2 played ag great "bitch" character so i could definitely see her as a brooke if done right.

i cannot however see sophia as haley.

Another Nate and Luke fight on the court! Poor Brooke getting hurt. And getting high.

Nate and Luke got closer this episode, which is nice!
