[Less Than Perfect]

Hey FF posters. The O.C. Mods, Kat, Roz and Steffi, decided it was time to update the rules and regulations because we have noticed some stuff on this board that just needs to be addressed. These rules should be abided by in addition to the Official FanForum Rules.

1) Episode Discussion Thread -
Sometimes our emotions can run high when someone disagrees with our opinions, but we need to keep in mind that we do all have one, so before you decide to quote someone's post, please double check it, to make sure it dosen't come off as a personal attack or hurtful of their opinion. Please debate with kindness and not harshness.

2) Character shipper threads -
Character/Character threads are designed to be in specific reference to that couple. Although we do realise that at times it may be necessary to have discussion about the actors’ portrayal of the character and the actors’ chemistry. This being said, we are allowing you to talk about the actors that portray the couple in the character/character thread. Although we expect that the thread will not be completely about the actors without any relevance to the characters at all.

3) Anti/Unappreciation Threads -
As a result of some problems due to the misuse of anti threads, we have chosen to close all anti threads indefinitely. As such, we ask that you please do not start any new unappreciation threads, if one is opened, it will be closed.

4) Thread Discussions -
There shouldn't be discussion of actors/actresses/characters/couples in threads that aren't meant for them.
Examples of this would be: Discussing Ben's life in the Marrisa Cooper thread, or discussing Mischa Barton in the Rachel Bilson thread or Adam Brody in the Mischa Barton thread.. Please keep this one in mind in paticular.

5) Bashing -
There is to be absolutely NO bashing on this board whatsoever! This goes for bashing against actors, FF members, anyone. And lurking in threads you do not support the character or ships of and then going back into the ones you do, and talking about what was said is also NOT allowed on this board. It just causes more problems.

If you are having a problem with another poster please contact one of the moderators to explain the problem. Please keep all issues off of the board and contact the poster if you feel the need to via PM. Fanforums has went back to allowing any member of Fanforums to PM no matter how many posts they have unlike before.

6) Avatars and Signature -
Avatars and signatures bashing OC characters, actors, or FF members are not allowed, regardless if it is a quote from the media. If we see a poster with a signature or avatar of this nature, they will be PMed to remove it. Failure to heed our request will result in a PM to the management, where they will remove it for you. Remember if you are looking to put something controversial in your signature, think about how you would react if it was aimed at a character/actor you liked.

Signatures are not to exceed the length of a 100x100 avatar. Spaces in between lines DO count. You are allowed to have multiple font sizes and fonts in your signature, but the largest font size is Size 3, you are also allowed to bold your signature. No more than four smilies in your signature. Please also double check to make sure your signature lines are appropriate as well, this forum is PG-13 and signatures should reflect this. Signature blocks should be no taller than a 100 X 100 avatar.

7) Spoilers –
A piece of information is considered a spoiler if it talks or explain something that has yet to be shown on television. Spoilers, are NOT allowed to be discussed anywhere else except for the Spoiler board. Promos that have been aired on television are not considered as spoilers. Sneak peeks and any information about them, which have not been aired, are however spoilers. This includes any promo pictures of episodes that have yet to be aired. For more on this check this thread.

8) - Stay On Topic:
There is to be no "chatty/star" posting on this board. This is also in the general FF rules. If you feel you have nothing constructive or relevant to add to the thread, then don’t post until you do. That being said a few posts here and there is allowed, but please don't fill up pages with off topic conversation.

9) - Quoting Pictures:
The quoting of pictures is not allowed, it makes pages to slow to load. You are also asked not to post large masses of pictures, if you wish to post a lot, put them in as links.

10) - Download Links:
Links to uploading sites, such as YouSendIt, with copies of a recently aired episode or any songs, are not allowed in this board, or FanForum at all, as it is against copyright laws. Small clips uploaded to a site such as YouSendIt or MegaUpload are acceptable, but links to the entire episode are not.

These Friendly Reminders are meant for no one in particular, we are just trying to better the board and keep it at a steady growing pace, so that people of all fan bases feel welcomed
