Agreed. Surprisingly, now when I think about it, it's not Johnny who I didn't completely like, it was Volchock. He was just downright bad. No redeeming qualities even if the writers were trying. I had no sympathy for him at all when he killed Marissa and now every time I see the actor in any film... like Twilight...I'm like, "There he is: Marissa's killer." That's all I can name him. He's just best known as the guy who played the guy who killed the OC technically. Okay, yeah, it was the writers but he actually killed Marissa in the show!

While I've never liked Johnny because from what I can remember, he annoyed me, I do think he was a good person and he tried to do the right think and his friendship with Marissa was sweet. I just didn't like when he'd blame other people for his problems and almost robbing a corner store instead of accepting help from his friends annoyed me. But I'm sure if he was a real person that I knew, I would like him. I haven't re-watched the show for years. I would have to re-watch to see if my opinion has changed and if I like him better now. I have re-watched certain episodes, but not really any episodes that he was in.
