When there wasn't money issues, Jimmy as a dad was pretty great. He really did show that he loved his kids.

Yeah he didn't half get caught up in some bad money issues didn't he! It's a shame.

Yeah, I like how close they were.
I like that scene in The Heights when Luke wanted to talk to Marissa and Jimmy told him to leave, lol. I thought that was cool of Jimmy. |

I did like their relationship but in some ways it got tainted by how Jimmy disappointed Marissa. Personally, i prefer the Marissa/Julie relationship.

I blame the writers for what they did to their relationship, not necessarily Jimmy.
