I know! Though Ryan was probably more abused than Trey. We all know he didn't take sht from nobody.

Yeah, that's true. Like I was saying in the Ryan thread earlier...I think Ryan had it harder than Trey overall before moving in with the Cohens because 1) I think the Atwood family fell apart when Ryan was maybe 5 or 6 but it seemed that when Ryan was a baby, the family got along okay so Trey endured more "good" times than Ryan and 2) Like you said, Trey doesn't take crap from anyone and I think he hated Dawn and moved out of the house when he turned 18 or maybe even a bit before, which left Ryan alone with Dawn and her abusive boyfriends.

For example, Dawn mentions that AJ beat her and Ryan but never mentions him hitting Trey.

Obviously Trey had the harder life after Ryan moved in with the Cohens.

Great insight! I totally agree. Trey did hate Dawn, and I don't think he ever came back (at least not permanently) after he left home the first time. Maybe he came back once and awhile for Ryan? IDK.

Yeah, poor baby was in jail!

Yeah, he may have come back a couple times to try to protect Ryan, but other than that I don't see Trey coming back. I think Ryan definitely got the brunt of the abuse and also
had to deal with Dawn's drinking (and cleaning up after her) the most.

Yeah, he definitely deserved it. And what's worse is that he was pretty much following that same route back to prison after getting out.

I still wish the writers could have done it differently. It breaks my heart when Trey lies straight to Ryan's face in the bar about Marissa and even swore on their mom. Ryan just looks so hurt there and actually believes Trey over Marissa and then to find out that Trey sexually assaulted her and had lied straight to his face has got to be one of the most difficult things Ryan ever experienced, and that's saying a lot because generally his life sucked!

Yeah. I think Trey was completely buried in his downward spiral at that point. He was done. He was back on drugs, had awful company, and had just assaulted his brother's girlfriend. All he could do was to continue to dig deeper in the mess he had created. I actually think Ryan was very skeptical of Trey when he said that Marissa "came on to him." He gives him this sort of slanted look. I personally thought he didn't believe him but just chose to let it go because he didn't think it was worth it.

I honestly think that had Trey not left to Vegas in S3, episode 1, Ryan would have forgiven him right then and there and they could have tried to make things right between them. That's how vulnerable I feel Ryan looked when Trey left. He wanted his big brother and wasn't sure how he was going to go on without him.

I agree that Ryan didn't believe Trey, but he also didn't know if he could believe Marissa. He didn't know who to believe. He was a sad, confused puppy dog at that point.
