I felt more worse for Seth with the whole Summer/Zach thing in San Diego. Because when Summer used her methods to seperate Anna/Seth in palm springs that night, it worked. The whole "you two are like brother and sister thing" definintley put the nail in Anna and Seth's romantic night in Palm Springs. Whereas Seth's whole "lets watch more t.v" routine didn't work at all and he left there room with no idea whether or not they were still gonna have sex.

Okay I know that we all love seth and summer and want them to be happy and stay together forever. But realistically speaking the network probably wants them to break up at least once in season 3. So if none of us want them to break up because of another love triangle again. What would be something you would be willing to accept them breaking up (temporarily) for?

I would like them to have a real, dramatic issue to stuggle through together.

As has been said many times before, the introduction of Summer's family problems could bring some real drama and could lead into a storyline about her possible trust or dependency issues. Something like that could put a strain on their relationship and cause them to break up, only to result in them getting back together when they realize how much they need each other.

Both Adam and Rachel could deal with a more angsty, dramatic storyline and it would be great to see Summer have her own storyline, and to see Seth and Summer as a couple together without being used as part of a Ryan/Marissa storyline.

I'd really like to see them lean on and depend on each other in the beginning of season 3, what with everything that's going on with Kirsten and the whole Trey thing. And then just when things between S/S are better than ever and things are looking up for the Cohen and Cooper family, something happens that shakes up Summer's world. Maybe it's her mom coming back or we finally get to meet the stepmonster, or maybe Neil would like to step up and fill Caleb's role as Newport baddie. A dramatic storyline with Summer's family has been a LONG time coming and I'd finally like to see it happen in season 3.

I will be pissed if S/S break up again because of some stupid triangle. It would be nice to see a situation where Seth is the one who pulls away and Summer is trying to win him back. It seems like all we've seen since they got together is Seth screwing up and Summer mad and he's trying to make it up to her and we've never really seen Summer trying to get Cohen back (other than when her and Anna fought over him). Now that their relationship has come so much farther and is so much deeper, it would be kind of a refreshing twist to see a dynamic where Summer is trying to get Cohen back and showing him how much he means to her.

Yeah, Summer's family definitely needs to enter the picture. And I agree about Summer needing to prove to Seth she cares. Seth's love and devotion for Summer has been put to the test since day one and he's proven over and over that it's real for him. Aside from the spiderman kiss, Summer really hasn't put her feelings out there. Though, she must have been feeling something strong to have left Zach stranded at the airport to be with someone who hurt her. Has his leaving ever even been cleared up?

Guess we should leave it to fanfics for now. But if there's a third party, I will have had it. After everything they've been through, we're supposed to believe that any third person could possibly be a threat now? The only logical thing I could think to come between them at this point would be Summer's family. Bring it on. The chances of S/S staying together all season without at least that possibility is slim to none.

Yes, Summer's love for Seth needs to be put out there. We always see the same storyline for them. There's always a third party and Seth is always the one who stuffs up. We need some variety! I want to see Summer having to be the one who has to show Seth that she cares. We all know she cares, but her love for Seth isn't as clear and as out there as Seth's is for her.

Oh! And Sum's family! We need that. For crying out loud the girl doesn't even have a proper house! We want so actually see the evil step-monster instead of just contantly hearing about her. And her dad hasn't made any appearance since he had lunch with Zach as the club, yet he's her best friend? I find that extremely hard to believe.

I agree with everyone so far. I would love to not see Seth chasing after Summer once again after messing up, because that storyline's getting tired. Summer's feelings are, yes, not as clear as Seth has made his. Also Summer has never said I Love You to Seth. So I think maybe so family issues could come up, she can't deal and pushes Seth away not really telling him why. Making her look like a jerk to Seth, for once it won't be him. Then in an attempt to get him back and let him into her problems to help, maybe Summer could try to imitate one of Seth's big grand gestures. I think it would be a little humorous to see her try...and make herself look a little stupid in front of the school to get Seth back. Also it'd be a perfect time for her first I Love You to him. Just a thought.

Yeah, I really want Summer to get her own storyline involving her family. I mean her parents are divorced, she has a monster step-mom, and her dad's her best friend who doesn't like Seth at all. I mean, come on there has to be some issues that can stem from that. If not with the step-mom thing. At least mor e with the dad not liking Seth thing now that her and Seth's relationship is deeper.

And although I would like Summer to actually have a house and not just a room...it's a little funny, I admit, the continuing theme of her just having a room and Cohen entering from there.
