I can't stress enough how pleased I am that the show is FINALLY getting back to the roots of why people loved the original Full House. I lost interest in this reboot the moment they started this Matt/Steve/DJ love triangle and I didn't think new viewers were being filled in enough on exactly WHY people loved her with Steve 25 years ago.

Thankfully, the more I read of Jeff Franklin's interviews, the more I feel that he was on the audience's side all along. There's an interview here in which he explains that he felt as disgusted by the DJ/Steve break-up in Season 7 of Full House as much as anyone, and he actually says that part of why he created Fuller House was to put right that mistake!

He says over and over in here and other interviews that "weird stuff happened in the writing after I left before Season 6" - he expresses disappointment with how DJ/Steve AND Danny/Vicky were handled

I have to admit I am very happy they got back together. I was kind of team both either DJ/Steve or DJ/Matt, but it hit me recently how badly these two belong together.
