| west wing spoilers/specs link to last thread who says we don't get spoilers for this show? editing in what new info we've received for upcoming episodes. from nbcmv.com: Quote:
the next episode after the inauguration two-parter is called California 47th. it airs on february 19th, and they haven't yet listed a description, but $10 says it's obviously about sam and the election. okay. now on to the good stuff. here is a link to some dialogue from the upcoming snowball scene outside donna's apartment. i'm not reposting the dialogue here, as i don't want to do that without permission from the person who originally posted it, but i definitely urge you guys to go visit the link. it sounds cute! this incredibly lucky girl on the JDTalk list got to see a LOT of the J/D snowball scene being filmed, and very kindly put up a small web site complete with spoilers, photos and autographs!!! it is FANTASTIC! again, i don't want to reprint what she wrote here without her permission, but you guys simply MUST check it out. i'll give you a tiny teaser ... we get to hear josh say "dr. freeride" again! go check it out!! now! also ... it appears, from the small shards of information i've been able to overhear in the restroom and the danish cart, that initially, donna IS perceived to be the traitor. turns out, jack has been talking to a reporter about governmental-type things, but the reporter in the accompanying article cites an "aide" instead. donna takes the fall for jack, and josh gets upset with her for that. whether jack intentionally told her to take the fall (i can't see this) or she just did it because "he has a brilliant career ahead of him" (sounds more plausible and donna-esque), i don't think has been concretely established yet. also, donna's at home, in a ballgown, when josh and company descend on her apartment. extras and those on location said there were two different endings to the scene filmed -- one where she gets into the taxi with the guys at the end, and one where she goes back into her apartment. people were too far away to hear the exact accompanying dialogue, so it was hard for them to provide a frame of reference without hearing the words. thank you to all the various people on the JDTalk list and the posters on a certain other message board who have posted all this info over the past week. there were way too many people to remember or name individually, but i've managed to get across the gist of what they said, i hope! finally, closing with what TV gal and wanda--excuse me, *kristin*--said last monday (feb 3): TV Gal: "Donna gets in trouble with a reporter and Josh will be mad but a little flustered by how good she looks all gussied up for the inaugural ball." by the way, that bit about him getting flustered by how good she looks ... that isn't just hyperbole! it's apparently in the script that donna "looks amazing" and that josh visibly reacts to this. can't wait! can't wait! can't wait! wanda/kristin: breinna asks: Kristin, got any scoop on The West Wing? Kristin replies: So, that cute scene I referred to a couple weeks ago, the one where Josh wakes up Donna by throwing snowballs at her window? Turns out it's, uh, NOT so romantic. Donna does something a bit Benedict Arnoldish, and the gang goes to her apartment to warn her she's in hot aqua con el Presidente. To which I can only say: DAMMMMMMMMMMMITT except wanda's wrong, and while it wasn't romantic in the kissyface sense of the word, those who saw it said it was a very sweet J/D scene. also, it takes place at night -- donna's in a ballgown -- so unless she sleeps in that, wanda's got that wrong, too. so i wouldn't put too much faith in this one, she seems to have picked up the wrong end of the stick. the sam situation: bringing this over from the JDTalk list, where, in turn, it was brought over from tv guide ... From tv guide: "LOWE AND BEHOLD: The West Wing has elected to dismiss Rob Lowe sooner than first thought, TV Guide Online has learned. The actor's final appearance on NBC's White House drama — initially slated for March — will now air during the Feb. 26 episode, a show rep confirms. In a recent interview with TV Guide Online, exec producer Aaron Sorkin said he was holding off on writing Lowe's swan song because, "I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that [he'll stay]. I say it out loud every day: 'Please, I want Rob to stay on the show!'" There seems little chance of that at this point. Lowe recently inked a deal with the Peacock network to headline a new legal drama next season. What's more, Lowe's WW alter ego, Sam Seaborn, recently left his post as communications director to run for Congress in California. Translation: He's a goner, folks." okay, well this is just bad on so many levels. it's bad enough that he's leaving, but to find out he's leaving earlier than anticipated ... though i find this interesting that aaron sorkin has been holding off on writing rob/sam's swan song ... in another small article i found on imdb.com the other day, it says rob/sam was irked he wasn't getting many storylines or even lines in general for that matter this season: Rob Lowe's Role in 'The West Wing' Revived Actor Rob Lowe is set to have a more sizeable role in his hit TV show The West Wing, after pointing out his diminishing lines with a prank. The screen star recently sent a joke milk carton to the show's bosses - illustrated with his face and the words 'Missing: Sam Seaborn' in protest at his character's lack of lines in the show. But with the dwindling ratings the political series is currently scoring, the show's creator Aaron Sorkin has gone back to writing sizeable portions for popular Rob, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. it's true that sam has been pretty much invisible since he announced he was going to run in california ... he wasn't in the christmas episode, or several others, either. i really do hope he's there next week, though, because it would just be silly and wrong for bartlet to be sworn in and not have his deputy communications director there ... even if part of next week's episode is will bailey being sworn in to that position as sam's replacement. | I'm the opposite, I liked Sam okay and I loved him every once in a while, but last night I fell in love with Will. Globes don't have corners. Heh. Anyway, I may be alone, but I was thinking for most of the season that TWW was still kind of lagging behind it's former glory. I got the season one DVDs for Christmas and I'd watch my favorite eps and long for the good ole days (yes, I'm a geek). However, last night it seemed like the show had regained its punch. I actually laughed out loud more than once and I was moved, as well. I think the show had been missing that perfect blend for a while and now seems back on track. I'm thrilled for next week now. Just can't wait. As far as the lagging ratings are concerned... do you think we might get J/D in response to that? They are a popular couple, lots of people want them together, and romance always makes everyone happy (especially since this romance would probably have political ramifications which means angsty tension). It makes sense to me. __________________ Spike has earned Buffy’s love in ways Angel couldn’t begin to contemplate. Spike is the coolest thing on television. Spike is the man, man. -H | |||

| i do. i loved those two together. oh well. in my mind, ainsley packs up wherever she's living in right now and hightails it out to california to become mrs. sam seaborn, the senator's wife, and one-day first lady. | My thought on MLP guest starring is that she might be helping Sam with his campaign in that clingy annoying way of hers. And since Josh seems to be pretty free and open about his feelings for Donna these days (I'm guessing after Wednesday that everyone knows, except maybe Donna) I'm not too worried we'll have to watch more icky kissy face. In fact, it seems more likely that Amy will play the part for Donna that Joey did for Josh... 100 Joshes anyone? | Ha, in your dreams. Sam belongs to Mallory and Mallory belongs to Sam. yEs!!!! SaM aDn MalOriE 4 eVa!!!! tWue lUv!!!!!! I'm disappointed she won't come back to leave with him. I had such high hopes after the season premiere. Stupid writers. And stupid Rob for leaving. I still wanted to have a scene where Sam is running half naked down Penn avenue while Leo chases him with a gun. And Mallory chases them both, "Daddy! Not the face! Not the face!!!" __________________ Somewhere over the rainbow... there's another rainbow. | |||

| I.Loves.Me.Kitty! Yea, I too loved Sam & Mallory. Ah well. Sigh...aren't we J&D fans so thrilled that Kristin got it totally wrong?! Thank goodness. Love, love, love that scene!!! I'm wondering if we will get any J&D next episode. Cause technically, I think this episode was actually scheduled for March. Is it greedy for me to want more J&D??? I love the idea that Amy will do the "100 Josh's" thing, but you know, I love the idea of her being gone even more! hate that creature, hate her. __________________ | |||

| itsy bitsy spoiler from nbcmv.com: the february 26th episode is going to be called "red haven's on fire." yeah, i know. weirder and weirder. i did a google search on 'red haven' and it seems to be some sort of peach. peaches on fire ... the only think that immediately comes to mind is some sort of dessert where they flambe the peaches (like crepes suzette or baked alaska or something like that), but that's obviously so far off the mark it can't even be a possibility! so i'm stumped. any thoughts? | It could be a city/town or something like that, or a place of some kind. *shrug* __________________ Come visit the WWE/Wrestling Board When we're free to love anyone we choose When this world's big enough for all different views When we all can worship from our own kind of pew Then we shall be free | |||

| *sigh* don't even talk to me about hair colour ... carrie, i think you could be right -- it does sound like a place name, doesn't it? i threw this idea out to a few of my close west wing friends the other day ... what if red haven is an imaginary (in AS's world) place where peaches grow, like a peach grove in georgia or something? say peach-growing is this town's only key industry or something. anyway, we all know how heavily AS likes to draw on real-world events for storylines, so say he uses the recent fires that have been burning uncontrollably in australia as a storyline here ... this imaginary town of red haven catches fire and not only all the houses but the local economy is at risk of being destroyed ... okay, i'm reaching gumby-like proportions again, but it's all i could logically come up with. <shrugs> | |||

| Oh I hope he doesn't use some place here in Georgia. He always messes up the pronunciation of places here. Note to Sorkin: In the word Dekalb the l is silent! Grr. Anwyway hmm. That's a good idea. Would it nessecarily have to have anything to to peaches? 'Red Haven' could just be the name of a town that's burning or 'on fire' could mean a totally different thing. But I guess we'll find out soon.
