I admit. I'm shallow. I'm basically loving Damon right now because Ian is so ridiculously gorgeous.

I liked Damon in the books, but I suuuuuper like him now that he's being played by Ian.

I've seen Paul on some ramdom show I can't remember and he didn't strike much appeal for me.

I also think that Ian is much hotter than Paul... But it's true everyone has different tastes!

And it's nice to know we are 50/50 when it comes to D/E and S/E it shows that both couples are good!

I don't ship couples because the actors are hot, i like what i see..

And it doesn't matter to me who the actors are, if i see chemistry, and i have.. then i'll ship them. and no going back.

That is why I'm keeping my views open for Stefan and Elena. Right now, I'm on Damon's boat since I love Ian Somerhalder; but my options aren't limited to DE. I'm sure you're on the same boat, right Jen, since we both agree that if there's chemistry, we'll ship them?

That's how i work my ships by. I mean, you can be a Damon/Ian fan without shipping DE. I don't think those two come hand in hand.
Chemistry is the key.

I just think Ian is so likeable that I find myself cheering for him in the love triangles everytime

Like in Lost, I totally shipped Shannon with Boone and not Sayid, because Ian and Maggie were so ridiculously hot together. I think they also dated off screen for a bit, right?

But unless they make Stefan a Dawson-like character I think I may be a Stefan fan too, just not SE.

I agree! I think Ian is hot but it hasn't got anything to do with the fact I ship D/E... If I ship them it's only because I think they can have great chemistry and I think Elena could get something good out of Damon...

I think I may like Stefan too but not with Elena..

I'll probably ship DE (because I kind of did in the books); but, usually random ships end up becoming my OTP. Like I'll probably end up shipping Damon and Bonnie (even if they only have one scene together), and the little brother with Vikki.

It's hard to predict these things until the show actually airs.

I like Damon because he's hot, but that's not exactly why I ship DE. I like chemistry of course.
