What confuses me, is that I thought his "eye thing" was smoldering at people, not doing the eye bulge. The eye bulge is his I'm-angry-or-ranting expression. In season 1 his angry face was more cold and barely controlled, not yelling and eye bulging. His eye thing was making Elena uncomfortable because he was eye-sexing her.
 I think they got their wires crossed somewhere along the line what the eye thing was.  __________________

they are doing that thing where the audience doesn't know what to think of Steroline. Are they putting some angst between them to build them up as endgame? Or will they just arrive at a place where they realize they are just good as friends? Because at the moment, Stefan still seems elena-sexual, while Caroline remains Stefan-religious. Idk, I just pity her because Stefan is the only thing she believes in. And he can't live up to those expectations but does he have to show her this this way? What is the message behind this? Is it just angst or a way to say that they don't work as a couple because Caroline kinda religiously loves Stefan and Stefan is just not that into her?

I think Caroline will stop actively seeking out Stefan at this point and may move on with Enzo. If they intent to go with SC, I think the next source of tension between them will be more mutual.

It is hard for me to believe that Caroline would actually consider Enzo. Be attracted to him or charmed a bit by him..sure. But actually sleep with him or be with him? :/ I thought Klaus was the only one she would ignore her ideals for. Enzo seems pretty similar to season 1 Damon. Has Caroline fallen so far? Will Stefan swoop in?

Ian was so much better in season 1. I thought he was better than Paul and Nina. I remember in season 2 when I was watching with my brothers and I'd burst out laughing sometimes when he overdid the eye thing and they didn't get why I was laughing since the scene wasn't even funny
