I honestly don't think Amy has PPD. To really understand what is going on with her I think we have to look at everything that has happened in her perspective. Amy even complimented Ricky's parenting skills in front of Ben ("You're so good with him").

I think though, her trust issues with Ricky are still not completely gone, and I don't even think she even relizes it. I beleive part of her deep inside is still hurt when it comes to band camp and how Ricky acted towards her after that. Especially now that she sees the consequences of that night (John) everyday now.

Just when she was starting to let herself trust Ricky he made the mistake of allowing Ben, someone they both agreed couldn't babysit, to come over and take care of John, so he could go hang out with Adrian. I beleive that that brought back all of Amy's trust issues, and I think her horrible attitude is her mind unconsciously getting back at Ricky for everything that has happened from band camp to giving birth.

Amy is angry, Amy is tired, but most of all Amy is scared. She is scared that any second now Ricky will switch back to the irresponsible guy who took her virginity and broke her heart ten months ago. She was beggining to get over that until he opted out of his own babysitting oppurtunity. Now I think Amy is trying to distance her self from him in case he changes and she has to take care of John on her own.

I'm not saying that how Amy has acted towards Ricky is right because it is not. In fact, she is being totally disrespectful, but I do think that there is a reason behind it.

Oh yeah I'm a Ricky/Amy shipper, and I feel like Ben/Adrian or Ben/Grace could be interesting if they gave them more scenes. Ships like Ben/Amy, Ricky/Adrian, and Grace/Jack make me bored because the characters are so similar.

You my new ms are a genius!!!!! I completely agree with everything absolutely everything you said Amy definitly has trust issues with Ricky and they both have many unspoken things between them that they really need to let out!

I also believe Amy is trying to stray away from Ricky so if he does in fact go back to his man whore and being irresponsible she wont be so hurt as to when and if he leaves because she already was prepared for it and she can handle responsibility on her own which is exactly why i think she snapped off at Ricky in the new sneak peak. So in truth Amy isnt really being a b!tch shes just looking out for her and Johns well being and preparing herself for possible future outcomes.

TripleHeart aka Ally-- I completely agree with you. Very well said by the way. I think Amy just has her walls up when it concerns Ricky. In the premiere, she was willing and ready to accept Ricky as her child's father and start to get over her trust issues, but, as you mentioned, those trust issues came back when he opted out on their decision for him to watch John. So, yeah, from that perspective I totally get where Amy is coming from which leads me back to the suggestion I talked about the other day. Ricky/Amy just need to sit down and put it all on the table. They need a well-deserved long conversation from band camp to birth to post birth.. They need to cover everything and they need to do that without outside interferences..

By the way, welcome to the board. I enjoyed reading your well thought up post.

You know what would be really awsome? If Ricky took Amy back to band camp and thats where they talked everything out! Couldnt you see that happenening of course i mean after or during the court process? Its the one place these two can go without anyone tracking them down because they are the only ones that know about it amongst the teens and possibly the adults.

You're welcome.. A way to tell which episode they are from is by clicking "Read whole caption" ( I think is what it said) and it will tell you which episode it comes from.

Oh, okay. I've only ever tried clicking on the pictures before, but you have to have some kind of special account, so I figured that was probably the same way with all the links. But thanks for letting me know, that'll be very helpful in the future.

ETA: I wonder if they've skipped ahead another month or two in "Ciao"? Maybe it's me, but Anne looks much bigger here:

. And if Ben is making summer plans, it must mean school is nearly out. And since season two started in sometime in March (most likely late March), it might make sense if they skipped to say May or something to move things along. (And maybe past the heavy Grace mourning stuff.)

I LOVE the thumbnails under the episode descriptions! Thank you SO MUCH for whoever decided to do that! I've been wanting to add some pics up or what have you, since we get sneek peeks pretty well in advance. It just really adds to the OP

Clearly you've thought this out before posting; it shows. I really enjoyed reading your post and I can see what you're saying. I am a HUGE R/A fan but an even bigger Ricky fan; in fact, seperately, I love Ricky and am annoyed by Amy, so you're right that that can make a person "blind" to where Amy's coming from.

Oh god... that would be... AMAZING. I feel so terrible, but I'm so over that storyline. It's totally believable for it to still be lingering, don't get me wrong, but I'm already bored with it. It could be due to the fact that it was uber random; no build up. We never saw Grace's fight with her dad. Her blaming herself is coming out of nowhere (well, not really but sort of). And it's a little annoying to me that she's choosing this option for grief; it's like, it's all about her. idk, I'm annoyed with it all.

I wondering the same thing as well, Camille. Anne looks even bigger than she did last week. It would make since though because after this day by day funeral, death, mourning stuff we can go ahead and skip a few weeks because the next episode after "Par for the Course" is "Ciao", I believe..

I'm still trying to figure out where the episode "Coming and Going" fits into the list lol...I'm thinking it's it's either the Ciao episode or the Born Free episode and they just changed the title

I'm thinking the exact same thing, Janine.. I'm going to go reread the sides and see if I can pinpoint what I think they could go..

I think "coming and going" was changed to "ciao" because 1. Ciao is the episode after the funeral, 2. Grace is back at school but then turns and runs out the door, it being too much for her and 3. Before she leaves Jack comes up and ask her "I didn't know you were speaking to me" and with her apologizing with the way she's been acting. Since Ciao is starting Ben's plans for the summer, I think Grace has to come back to school before it lets out.. I think it makes sense for "coming and going" to have been changed to "Ciao", but I could be wrong.

Yeah that makes sense Tanya...I think Grace would come back to school in the episode after the funeral depending on what the time period is between Par for the Course and Ciao.

Exactly.. When Ciao airs, I'm going to listen to the dialogue and see if it strikes familiar with the sides.. That's the only way we will know so we can take it off the OP.. Right now, it's like sticking out as if it's a sore thumb..
