Review: 'True Blood' sixth episode 'Cold Ground,' look at what's to come - Entertaining Ideas

Quote:
A LOOK AT WHAT'S COMING UP:

Episode 7: "Burning House of Love"

Episode 6 was good, but things get even better after the halfway point of the 12 episode season. Jason's struggles with his V addiction get worse to the point where he's caught by Sookie looking for items to pawn at their grandmother's house. After Lafayette refuses to sell him any more V, he heads to Fangtasia to score some more vamp blood. That's where he meets Amy (Lizzy Caplan, "Cloverfield," "The Class"). The two click immediately over their shared V addiction. Jason is also impressed with Amy, a Connecticut Yankee, for her extended vocabulary and more positive outlook on life.

We get a continuation of Sookie and Bill's love-in, including a little bubble bath time. That's where she shares the truth about her Uncle Bartlett and her childhood.

The three skeezy vamps make a trip to Merlotte's, terrorizing some of the customers to get Bill's attention. Sam tries to hold them off, but fails. In other words, he doesn't morph into a border collie and start gnawing on their legs.

Bill arrives and leaves with the trio. Three of the Merlotte's customers decide to get some revenge on the vamps and set fire to their house the next day. Sookie then learns that four bodies burned in the fire.

Andy and Terry Bellefleur spot Sam doing something about as weird as rolling around in a dead woman's bedsheets.

HBO already has renewed "True Blood" for a second season, and now the Hollywood Reporter has announced that four actors will receive regular status in the second season. One is Detective Andy's cousin, Terry, the shell-shocked vet, who has already appeared in several episodes. New additions are Michelle Forbes ("In Treatment," "24"), Mehcad Brooks, best known for playing the older Applewhite brother on "Desperate Housewives" and Deborah Ann Woll. The other three will make appearances in the last few episodes of the season.

I'm really looking forward to this part... I was hoping the next episode would start where this episode left off.

Thanks for bringing this over!

That does sound good. Can't wait to see it!

This show has one of the most original takes on vampires, I love it.

Especially on how they've been 'out' for 2 years.

Technically, it's like dealing with racism and prejudice. But it's dealing with that as the vampire being the minority.

Bringing this from a the first page

Quote:
Really, you think it's cheap?? Interesting. I find it very well done and smart myself. And from what I've heard, Twillight is more more teens while True Blood is more for adults and more mature. Just what I've heard people say, though. LOVED Moonlight, but I find this strangely more realistic
I have to agree with this. I'm a fan of all three, Twilight, Moonlight and True Blood and I think True Blood is just in a whole different and better level than the other two. Mostly because it's not cheesy like Twilight and Moonlight are, it's not just about the romance and the love, but there are other things. I love me some cheesy, LOL but I like darker and realistic things the most. Jason's character can be gross, but how many guys like him are out there? Too many. And the addiction storyline is very interesting. I think this show is more adult while the other two are more directed to a younger audience.

This is one of the things I like the most about. To see them between the humans and see the different way people react to them beieng there and to what they are.

Good to know the best is yet to come.

Exactly

But one of the biggest reason I watch it because of the love story. It's a big part of the show

it looks like some of the plot got condensed but i am SO excited for bubble bath! there better be another one cause in the previews you can see a hand in the graveyard grabbing sookie's leg and she gets all muddy and we all know it's bill sleepin in his grave.
