Maybe I didn't pay enough attention to this at the time, but I don't remember Supernatural ever being much of a bubble show, especially at the beginning of its run, and I used to watch it regularly then too. Also, Timeless is a different show in a different situation. To have the show end this season without resolutions and then they get cancelled again would be HORRIBLE and would upset all of us fans. I'm trying to be optimistic that they are aware of this.

Given the descriptions, it sounds like the team will be facing (and hopefully neutralizing) a different Rittenhouse sleeper agent in each ep, which sounds like a fine way to structure the season. It leads in the direction that the likelihood is that Jessica is Rittenhouse.

That "unbelievable truth" is, of course, Jessica being alive. Having watched the promos closely, I thought Wyatt didn't go with them on this mission. Also, pics were released from 2.03 today that really emphasize how big that ep is going to be for Lucy/Wyatt and I want to try to enjoy it but I am still so apprehensive about Jessica's return and that she stays for so long. Recently I've started to feel like even if Jessica turns out to be Rittenhouse, the writers still can't make up to Lucy the pain of getting to be with Wyatt only to have Jessica return and Wyatt basically choose her, in action even if not in his heart.

The "Bonus Scoop" part has me worried. The movie Sophie's Choice features a scene where the title character has to choose which of her two children to give up and which to save. I hope the article is referring to the entire group trying to fight Rittenhouse and not just Lucy, Wyatt, and Rufus because I do NOT like the thought of the Time Team having to do that. GAHHH, I don't know if I can take all this stress!

Well, it happened. Jessica is now listed as a character for the season finale.

Obviously, I realize that she can be in the season finale and Lucy and Wyatt can still end up together and happy by the end of the ep. It's just that if she hadn't been in the episode, I could feel more secure about it. Especially because the writers probably have a lot to get done in that ep.

As I have mentioned here a lot already, I desperately hope the writers have erred on the side of caution and given fans a closed-out story this season. They can always just continue on if they get a third season, plus the ratings for this season premiere were only decent and probably not good enough to get renewed. I LOVE this show, so I do hope for a third season but I also DO NOT want to be left hanging. I know I sound like a broken record, but I am trying to hope for the best but it is NOT easy.

Oh, I'm sure it will create distance between them for awhile. Especially since Jessica is around for so long. But it is clear that Lucy/Wyatt is endgame, I'm just concerned that they are together for good by the end of this season to make certain we the fans get to see it.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of writers dragging it out too long. It just makes the fans suffer.
