synopsis:
From Ryan Murphy, the creator of "Nip/Tuck" and "Popular," comes GLEE,
a one-hour musical comedy, that follows an optimistic high school teacher as he tries to transform the Glee Club
and inspire a group of ragtag performers to make it to the biggest competition of all: Nationals.

Will Schuester, a young optimistic teacher, has offered to take on the Herculean task of restoring McKinley's Glee Club to its former glory.
Everyone around him thinks he's nuts. He's out to prove them all wrong.

Similar to Season 1's Madonna tribute, the January 31 episode of Fox's Glee will feature 10-12 songs from Jackson's library. The episode is being fast-tracked in the writers' room now and is expected to begin shooting this Friday. Half of the episode will shoot before the cast breaks for the holidays, with the remaining numbers to be completed in January.

Dianna Agron revealed that she just got word on a new number that she described as "a really exciting song I never thought I'd be singing." She was reluctant to spill further info, only going as far as confirming it wasn't a Broadway number or a country tune.

Agron's character Quinn has had a rocky season, attempting to steal back the daughter she gave up for adoption after ditching and reclaiming her preppy attitude. Agron told us that she's finally starting to "leave her evil ways behind."
"She's starting to realize this could and should be the best time of her high school experience," Agron said. "She's finding the light at the end of the tunnel."

Harry Shum Jr. also dropped hints of a potential new solo in the new year, but was mum on details. Likewise, executive music producer Anders talked about upcoming appearances by Ricky Martin and Gloria Estefan, but had no solid decisions on what the pair will sing.

McGinty, who joined the show this season after being named co-winner of "The Glee Project," a reality competition for aspiring Glee stars, said there's hope for his character to get a love interest since his attempts at wooing cheerleader Brittany were crushed in his first episode.

"At the end of the Christmas episode there's a little hint that he might have a girlfriend on Valentine's day, so who knows," he said. "I hope so, all the girls of 'Glee' are gorgeous."

Who is Mercedes going to choose on Glee: Sam or Shane? — Geoff
NATALIE: Despite Sam's abs (which will be on full display when he joins McKinley's synchronized swimming team in an attempt to win Mercedes back), Shane's got the edge. Chord Overstreet tells us that in Episode 10, the two boys will finally come face to face, but the showdown won't last long. "We just shot a scene where I'm talking to Mercedes, and Shane just grabs her mid-conversation and they walk away together," Overstreet reveals. So, without a word, Shane shows Sam who's boss? "Basically," he says.

Groff will be doing four episodes, leading up to the big Nationals face off! Also, he'll have stories with Alex from The Glee Project.
Rory Flanagan, Damian reveals, "He's having a hard time fitting it and getting bullied a lot. He's very young and very happy."
"Lindsay's coming back in episode eight," Ryan says. "She's sort of the Rachel of her school and she's so amazing. She will be competing against our groups."
As for Damian's co-winner Samuel, Ryan says, "Sam is probably going to come in around episode ten or eleven, probably after the Christmas break." Yes, you will have to wait at least another two months to see those beautiful dreads again.
Finally, Alex, whom Ryan calls "amazing," is "going to be the love child of Kurt and Mercedes and will turn to them for much advice." He will also share "many scenes" with Groff. A member of VA perhaps?
A particular Adele song seemed to be dedicated from one person to another during a solo. Can't say much more about that. Except that a certain fanbase will freak. (Most likely Brittana)

At an event celebrating the show’s 300th musical performance on Wednesday, exec producer Ryan Murphy revealed that Groff will appear in multiple episodes as the new coach of Vocal Adrenaline.

When we asked Jayma Mays if things would be "going down" between her and Will (Matthew Morrison), she was quite coy…but not coy enough. "Well, I don't know what "going down" means, but it could be true. It's possible," she tells us with a smile. Hear that Wemma fans? Possible! Also, we don't want to send Wemma fans into a crazed freak-out session, but we also happen to know that Glee is looking to cast a doctor for an upcoming episode. Now that could be for anybody, but wouldn't it be just perfect if after their first time Will and Emma had to visit the doc for a certain reason? Go on, take that scoop and run with it. We won't stop you.

Glee is temporarily lifting its moratorium on stunt casting, and with good reason. The Fox phenom is in negotiations with Ricky Martin to guest star early next year, sources confirm to TVLine exclusively.
The bon-bon shaker extraordinaire will play what a Glee insider is calling “the hottest Spanish teacher ever in the history of Ohio.” And a musically inclined one at that.
I’m told Martin’s scalding instructor will headline two big musical numbers in the episode, which is slated to air in late January. After wrapping Glee, Martin is off to New York to begin rehearsals for his role as Che in the Broadway revival of Evita (opening in April 2012).
The Glee stint marks Martin’s most high profile acting gig since his two-year run on General Hospital in the mid-90s.
