There are still three tapings coming up (11/23, 12/7, 12/14) before they take 3 weeks off for Christmas.

I'm wondering if tuesday's taping is going to be a christmas episode. Haven't read anywhere about any special guest cast member for tuesday's taping either.

Frankly Bernadette has been a saving grace in an otherwise mediocre season. Amy is hit and miss and I don't think the writers can sustain the character over the long haul. These writers are struggling with the original characters as it is and now they've just made both Amy and Bernadette series regulars.

As for episode itself. Another Sheldon/Amy episode with the rest of the cast in a lame b-plot...again. These type of episodes have been largely prevailent this year and have made this season a real bore.

I just saw that.

I wonder if there will be any explanation for WHY she's dating Zack again, considering how annoyed she got with him in the finale, and then even in the last episode she said that he didn't challenge her intellectually, and didn't seem interested at all anymore.

It looks like that Penny doesn't learn. Unfortunately, since the end of season 3, the writers insist to show Penny as an imature and shallow person.

Well I figured eventually Penny would get a boyfriend although I didn't figure it would be Zack. The writers seem to want Penny to fall back on old bad habits involving relationships that will lead her nowhere. Of course Leonard will not be happy about this and this will motivate him to soon get a girlfriend.

Roxanne, I think I like reading your reports now better than watching the shows because as Sheldon says I run them on the world's most powerful graphics chip.
But, I both really want to read the next report and don't.
The writers are making Penny more and more like Katie and mucking with the group dynamics that made the show great.

Plus I feel bad for Leonard.
But I gotta know what happens.

It's sitcom writing 101 in action. Leonard is going to be insanely jealous here, not only because Penny will be dating the guy that she told Leonard he ruined for her, but they are clearly going to have him decked out as Superman. That's going to tap into Leonard's confidence issues hardcore. Which means it's going to excruciating to watch.

I agree this will drive Leonard to find a new girfriend. He will and by that time, which I predict will be season finale time, Penny will have ditched Zack because she will have come to the realization that she does in fact love Leonard and wants to be with him but can't because he's with someone else. This was pretty much foreshadowed in the previous episode.

It'll be interesting to see how long Zack sticks around for now.

I was surprised with the last episode that they brought him back only to give him such a small part (really Amy could have been attracted to any hot guy), so maybe I should have suspected that there was a bigger reason he's back.

I don't think this show really knows what to do with Penny these days, but will have to wait to see how this plays out
