Supernatural Spoilers & Speculations Thread #2

Let's continue here, please.

Episode 2.18 - Hollywood Babylon
Airs: April 19, 2007

For more episode stills click here.
  • THE WINCHESTER BROTHERS GO TO HOLLYWOOD / GARY COLE ("OFFICE SPACE") GUEST STARS - Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) make a trip to Hollywood to investigate the death of one of the actors on a horror film set after rumors begin that he was killed by a ghost. They discover the death was a publicity hoax but when the executive producer and a studio executive are killed, Sam and Dean realize they are dealing with a haunted set. Gary Cole guest stars as Brad Redding, one of the stars of the horror film. Ben Edlund wrote the episode directed by Phil Sgriccia (#218).
  • You probably heard that the Winchester Bros. are heading to La La Land on April 19 to investigate a haunted movie set. Well, the in-joke-laden episode — appropriately titled "Hollywood Babylon" — features a shout-out to CW sibling Gilmore Girls. Truth be told, it's more of a slam — and it's bridge-burnin' Girls grad Jared Padalecki who does the dissing! [...] It takes place while Sam and Dean are on a tram tour of the Warner Bros. backlot. Pay attention when the tour guide announces, "Up to the left is Stars Hollow, the setting for the television series Gilmore Girls…. Ask Ausiello
  • Eric Kripke and Robert singer reveal: We have an episode where the boys investigate a haunted movie set, which has been a lot of fun for us because they go to the set of a cheesy horror movie directed my McG. He’s either going to be in it or an actor that plays him, we’re still working it out. We play with all of the haunted movie set mythology like the POLTERGEIST set, the THREE MEN AND A BABY set; it’s called “Hollywood Babylon”. Source: iFMagazine
  • The episode opens on filming of "Hell-Hazers II: The Reckoning", a low-budget horror film directed by McG. The object of Dean's affections starred in "Boogeyman" (written by SPN creator Eric Kripke) but derides the 'horrible' script. The brothers are confused by ghosts which appear to be tag-teaming; an unlikely occurrence. Sam consults with Ash. McG's inspirational speech earns applause from Dean. Source: SpoilerFix.com

Episode 2.19 - Folsom Prison Blues
Airs - April 26, 2007
  • SAM AND DEAN LAND IN PRISON - After hearing about a ghost that has been killing off inmates one by one, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) decide the best way to investigate this spirit is from the inside and allow themselves to get thrown into the state penitentiary. However, after FBI agent Henricksen (guest star C. Malik Whitfield) shows up to take over their case, getting out of prison becomes a bigger challenge than finding the spirit. John Shiban wrote the episode directed by Mike Rohl (#219).
  • Something happens at the end of Episode 19 that will most likely force the undercover brothers to seek assistance from their fellow demon hunters. Ask Ausiello
  • Called to help with a haunted prison, the brothers are caught on a routine evidence-gathering trip and arrested. Dean spoofs Zoolander during his mug shots. Later, he meets Henriksen face-to-face for the first time, who expresses grudging admiration in their training and ability to disappear (in earlier drafts, that dialogue was between Henriksen and Sam). As a distraction for Sam, Dean incites a fight and earns himself solitary confinement, where a salt packet saves his life. The brothers, aided by lawyer Mara, set a trap to humiliate Henriksen and escape with the help of their contact; a prison guard. From spoilerfix.com

Episode 2.20 - What Is And What Should Be
Airs - May 3, 2007
  • Jensen Ackles, star of The CW's horror series Supernatural, told SCI FI Wire that an upcoming episode will provide a glimpse into the lives Dean (Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) Winchester might have led had their mother not been killed by a demon years earlier. "What Is and What Should," the 20th episode of the show's sophomore season, was written and directed by creator and executive producer Eric Kripke and will air on May 3. In it, a demon genie, called a djinn, provides the unusual opportunity for Dean to see what might have been. "So you're kind of thrust into this parallel universe of Dean and Sam and Mom and Dad and everybody and what it would have been like if all of that stuff had not happened 20-some-odd years ago," Ackles said in an interview. From SciFi Wire
  • John (Jeffery Dean Morgan) appears in this episode.
  • Dean is attacked by a Djinn, which warps his reality when it touches him. He wakes in a Lawrence, Kansas apartment next to a woman named Carmen. When he calls Sam to report, the exasperated little brother accuses Dean of drunk-dialing him (hearing 'gin' instead of 'djinn') and tells him to sleep it off. After hanging up on him, Sam returns to his research books - which include a law school textbook. Dean gets a taste of a normal life. While all is not rosy - in this warped reality, Sam's in school and the brothers do not get along - Dean is speechless when he's able to see his mother alive and well, and living in his childhood home. Struggling to find out what happened, Dean turns to Carmen, a nurse he apparently lives with and loves, and who knows this new Dean better than he knows himself. But while relaxing on his couch, Dean spots a woman with her throat cut, who looks very familiar. From spoilerfix.com

2.21 - All Hell Breaks Loose, Part One
Airs - May 10, 2007
  • According to a set visitor, the brothers actually hug. Mary Winchester may not have been an innocent victim as previously portrayed. Dean's worst nightmare comes true. Oh, and critics of the Roadhouse storyline will be pleased when it goes down in flames (literally!). Another set visitor interviewed Jensen Ackles, and the actor referenced doing an emotionally heavy scene while Jared just lay with his eyes closed. From BuddyTV Spoiler Chat
  • Ava claims to have the ability to control demons, but ultimately turns on Sam. To save him, Jake kills her. From BuddyTV Spoiler Chat
  • Sam, Andy and Ava find themselves in Cold Oak, Massachusatts with two other 'chosen': super-strong Jake and Lily, who refuses to believe in her abilities. Assuming they've been put there by the yellow-eyed demon, they struggle with what to do and what they've learned about their powers. Neither brother knows the condition or whereabouts of the other, though Dean consults with Ash and hunts with Bobby to find Sam. Ava's true intentions are revealed. Jake saves Sam's life, but later turns on the younger Winchester. From spoilerfix.com
2.22 - All Hell Breaks Loose, Part Two
Season Finale airs - May 17, 2007
  • John (Jeffery Dean Morgan) appears in this episode.

Oh man. The finale has me so worried, especially with that picture of Sam being stabbed . Obviously they can't kill him off...
I can't wait to see our boys kick ass in these heavy episodes.

With John coming back the finale should be intresting. Jared gave an interview where he says the series should end with the brothers being killed/dead.
